Im not sure what has been happening over the last couple of days but we have sold 7 tiled fireplace sets and 5 of them have been sold today via sales from our showroom and our website.
We do offer the full range of Tiled Inserts from gallery and they are all on our website but for some reason today it has gone mad on them.
Most have been sold with traditional style surrounds from the Bedford in Pine throught to the Flat Victorian Brompton Limestone.
Only 1 of these inserts was sold on its own and a Mrs Brown from Dalton in Furness who drove down today to view and collect it.
Dalton is a fair way from us but after finding out if we had the Northmoor Black in stock they decided to have an afternoon in the Derbyshire Countryside before heading off home.
As we are close to Matlock Bath and the Gateway to the Peak District quite a few of our customers tie a visit to us with day out some even go to Denby Pottery which is a mile from my house.We have even have customers visit us at Langley Mill and go to Ikea and the DH Lawrence centre at Eastwood which is close to us too.
We are lucky where we are situated with good road links and being in the centre of the Uk we have customers travel from miles to view and Collect our range of Fireplaces and Stoves.
So next time your after a fire why not pick up a map or use your satnav to find some local attraction you can visit whilst out his way and make a full day of it exploring Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire there really is so much to see not just our beautiful Fireplaces

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010Today i have been off so apologies to anyone who tried to contact us regarding our Fireplaces or Stoves and i also apologise for all the late emails i sent yesterday late evening.
Rhian has been in Hospital today and is there for a few days yet before returning home so im afraid there is only me here at the office till shes fit and well again.
Thanks for everyones patience in me returning calls and emails and thanks to everyone who ordered online after listening to answerphone message saying we were closed.
I am back in the ofice and Factory tomorrow and will catch up with everything then so if you do have to wait a little longer than normal for an answer or price im not ignoring you im just working my way through a big long list but i will be back up to speed by the ned of Wednesday.
I am very proud of our Family Based company and what service we offer and the traditional customer values we have so we do not employ any other staff, we just work our way through it to make sure our customers get the correct advice from someone who knows what there talking about not some Office Man with no Fireplace experiance so please bear with me and i look forward to answering all your enquirys as fast as i can.
Busy Bees at Cast Fireplaces again
Friday, March 5th, 2010Another real hectic day at Cast Fireplaces there just seems to be no let up i have even gone without dinner today until 3.30pm not that it would do me any harm as i could do with losing weight.
It all started this morning with me going to Scunthorpe and Nottingham to deliver a couple of fireplaces our customers required in a hurry but thats part of our excellent service.
Anyway i got back to the office and Rhian gave me a pile of Website orders our new site had created so i rang them all back to confirm choices and to arrange delivery after this was done i was on my way to Chesterfield with a Tiger Plus stove and then on to Nottingham to collect two Fireplaces which are being delivered on Sunday.
Back to the Factory just in time to meet a customer from Birmingham who had come to view a Pembroke Full Polished Solid Fuel Package and that was promptly loaded by Me and Stuart who had just returned from Bristol and Gloucs run via all over the South West.
We had a quick chat as we loaded his van and then mine for this weekends run to Sunny London i got back home at 3.30 pm and was straight in the fridge hunting for food good job my wife went shopping yesterday it was packed with goodies.
Anyway back in the office raising delivery notes and invoices and yellow telephone notes posted everywhere with people to ring.
Rhain said the phone had not stopped and looking at all the paperwork im not sure how it all got done.
Im now sat here in my office writing this blog at 19.30 having completed all my jobs and after this is done im switching off for the Night.
Out with the kids in the Morning to The park with the dog so im not sat in front of my pc but the phone is transferred if you do want me.
More Fireplaces arrive at our Factory
Friday, February 26th, 2010Today we have had another delivery of Fireplaces to us at our Factory in Langley Mill and im not sure where next week all what is arriving is going to fit as were already very well stocked.
Im sure i will be moving things around with our forklift creating space and restacking items so we can get it all in.
Even with the vans loaded for this weekends runs to London it was still a push to squeeze the Forklift back inside behind one of the Roller Shutter Doors.
Next week we have crates of items arriving that have been on order for what seems an age we do monitor all sales patterns so we can try and second guess which items we are going to sell to make sure we have enough in stock without phoning up suppliers hourly to add things to our weekly order.
Im sure Myself and Jim have it right now as we dont tend to run out of many items and seem to have things delivered just at the right time.
Looking through the crates today alot are nearly empty and we were down to one Celtic Black Fireplace in stock before todays supplies arrived now that is cutting it fine so it just prooves we do have our re-ordering levels about right.
Right im off to take the dog a walk before switching off for the Evening its already 7.30 pm and ive been at work since 6.30 am this morning there is no rest for the wicked
Fireplace Dimensions are soon to be added
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010At long last we are ready to start adding all the dimensions to our Fireplaces and Fireplace Packages that were lost in our big website switch over.
We have not forgot they were missing i was keen to have them on a seperate tab so it does not clutter up or item page and as from our feedback from customers they do not like too much information on one page so we have been working on a template to get them right and today we have had the eureka moment we have been after and i will start to add them to our stoves and Combination fireplace categories tomorrow.
Chris in the meantime is still working on the perfect page layout for all our packages where we have multiple mantel choices.
I do not want to bodge it like a few other sites i have seen where it doesn’t line up or images are moved because of the way the page has been set out.
We do have on our website a few strange diagrams we have been trying out with different layouts so if you come accross some at the moment ignore the measuremants they are only there for testing.
So the final phases are being added and im around half way through listing all the new products and im very pleased with the way things are looking so keep checking back to see how we are getting on

Wooden Fireplaces Section is Next
Thursday, February 18th, 2010Another busy day sat in front of the pc has seen our care products section updated along with half of the Limestone Fireplaces added too, the website is growing nicely with more sections planned to be increased over the next week.
The Wooden Fireplaces we offer are made by us and we only buy in the Malton MDF (Gallery Collection) and the Large Corbel (Jig Collection) so you can rest assured we only have the best quality to put our name to as its our reputation that goes with these mantels.
So we have around another 20 wooden packages to go onto our site tomorrow which will give us one fo the largest ranges available on or offline.
As you would expect from Cast Fireplaces we do keep all these items in stock so they can be delivered or collected with great speed to ensure our customers get the best service too.
The other ranges we are ready to offer are a selection of JIG Fireplaces and a huge range of buckets companion sets and fire guards.
Our Firebasket section is due to be done with all the new gallery baskets and firebasket suites also ready to be listed so as you can see we are aiming to have the most comprehensive range of Fireplace related products online.

Busy Day Selling Fireplaces and Relaxing at Night
Wednesday, February 17th, 2010Well what a busy day we have had today with a delivery of Fireplaces this morning and a customer coming to collect Pembroke Full Polish Package that they ordered yesterday.
Stuart has been delivering to North Wales and Cheshire and ive been in the office again all day today after factory visit adding new items to our website and taking quite a few orders from Truro to Aberdeen.
I have added numerous items including all new tile options and a few wooden packages that i didnt finish on our old website, tomorrow im again in the office and i have loads of Limestone Packages and Wooden Packages to add to our ever growing range.
This adding items is taking longer than i thought as i have been altering formats too as i go along to make choice options even simpler.
I must admit we did have an early finish today at 5pm as it was my birthday 2 weeks ago Rhian had booked us a spa twilight evening at Thoresby Hall.
Well we arrived for 6pm and were given robes and towels etc and as Rhian has visited before were left to enjoy.
Three hours of Steam Rooms,Ice Blasts,Saunas,Aromotherapy Pools and general relaxing which was very welcome after a busy start to the week i must say i really enjoyed it.
I have now returned feeling very refreshed and ready for another busy few days adding items so to all the people who got our answerphone this evening and unanswered emails sorry i will be in touch in the Morning.
Fireplace sales continue on Day Off
Saturday, February 13th, 2010Hi there i have had today offf and been to Doncaster to watch Forest but dont ask about that is was not very good.
Any way my lovely wife Rhian has been in charge again today and as normal what a great job she has done to be honest there is not much she does not know about our fireplace world down to whats in stock and when it can be delivered basically what Rhian says goes.
On my return from football she has arranged some deliverys in Nottingham next week and added to our delivery run on Sunday to London (im sure i can retire and leave my gorgeous wife to running the business)
The only thing she has left me on my return is the pricing of a made to measure hearth and whether a customer can collect a non stock item next Friday on his way home from Stockton.
So it really proves looking at all my answered emails and the pile of orders she has taken that i am a spare part in our company so on that note i sense retirement looming at least for this week anyway.
Next week i am webiste updates with all our new products and options while Stuart delivers our fantastic Fireplaces all over the UK
