So the last year saw some changes here at Castfireplaces us opening a new showroom at our own unit, a huge amount of new stock, another new Van for our home delivery service and another member of staff joined our team.
So what do we have planned for the new year well were not moving again we are having a host of new fireplace products on our website and another new van to replace our oldest model but aprt from that we are going to continue where we left off in 2011 and gradually expand our business.
For some the new year means changes but i honestly believe we have everything right at Castfireplaces and with a little tweaking here and there we can continue to make it the best place online to shop for Fireplaces and Stoves.

Hello and a big happy new years eve to everyone thought i would write this blog this afternoon before we get ready to celebrate New Years Eve at Castfireplaces.
Well what has happened to the Christmas feeling of it being cold and wintery weather its a little dissapointing really we have not had our Tiger Plus Mulit Fuel Stove roaring away at all over the festive break.
Infact really Winter has not begun yet it has been very mild with only one good frost and i have prepared again for another harsh winter, our coal bunker is full of smokless ovals and our woodshed is brimming with seasoned logs ready for the cold weather.
I love fire and really love an open fireplace or in our case a stove which heats our home downstairs and stocked up on all our winter fuel needs well before winter arrived.
Logs have been split and crated at our factory and workshop ready for the cold weather we have even had a new coal bunker arrive for the Firefox 12 in our showroom to heat that.
So we are ready for a cold spell and a little frost so i can get the fireplaces roaring and sit down and relax in front of them and get a real winter warming feeling that only a real fire can produce and those of you that already have a real fireplace will know exactly what i mean

Hello and only 2 more days left of yet another year at Castfireplaces and i must admit im really enjoying our Christmas and New year break and im fully ready to return to work on Tuesday 3rd January.
This is when we are back in the office full time and the factory and Fireplace showroom is once again open for viewings and collections.
Our Fireplace and stove home delivey service commences again on Thursday the 5th with runs going to The South West and North West and of course 3 very full vans going to London and the South on Janaury 8th.
All items ordered for dispatch by Shipping have been booked for collection on Tuesday January 3rd when TNT start collections again and are on a next day service.
We do have a bit of a back log of parcels and fireplaces to deliver but our trusty staff and vans will be working overtime to get it all dispatched asap.
So we are expecting another busy month ahead as the weather is forecast to turn for the worse and cold weather predicted to arrive.
We are hopefuly expecting some DEFRA approved stoves into stock to fill all the empty spaces where they should be as we currently only have 3 in stock where we normally have over 50.
So with more fireplaces coming into stock we expect to be back up to Winter stock levels very soon, we did have a good tidy up the last day before we broke up for Christmas so everything is exactly where it should be which to be honest has been a problem for the last hectic 8 weeks.

Good Evening and to be honest im only just feeling myself again after attending our suppliers Christmas party in Nottingham, first off a big thankyou to Tony for inviting me again i really had a great day.
I consider all of the people we deal with as friends not just a company that we buy from and have spent many great days in there company
So every year we go along for a meal and what seems an endless supply of beer and wine and this year was no different aprt from us not going to the Mogul for a curry at the end of the evening.
So today i have felt worse for wear with a hangover all day after drinking too much again i just never seem to learn so today i have done very little work for Castfireplaces and as we are now closed for Christmas to be honest Fireplaces and Stoves have been the last thing on my mind.
So im off to bed for an early night and thankyou very much again to Tony and his Staff for another fantastic day out i really enjoyed it

Good Evening and another late one as im still in the office finishing paperwork off for this week so it comes down now to informing our customers our opening hours over Christmas and the new year.
We close on the 20th December this year and will return to work on January 3rd 2012 the showroom and factory is closed between these days and there will be no collection of fireplaces and stove between these dates.
We will be answering emails and the phones wherever practical but please do expect Castfireplaces normal instant answer or a quick email return.
If we are near to the office and hear the phone ring it will be answered but if not leave us a message and we will return your call when we can.
Being a family run company we do take the christmas break off to recharge our batteries and enjoy quality family time and get ready for the New year madness.
We will be again starting delivering our fireplaces and stoves starting on Thursday 5th January onwards so orders will be despatched asap after these times.

Today i have a liitle story about commitment and helping out your team mates and freinds which is important in life, i like to think im very loyal towards my freinds and family and everyone who works for us here at Castfireplaces.
Well today’s little tale isn’t about Me, Rhian or indeed fireplace or stove related its about not letting others down so who am i rambling on about.
Well the answer is my Son Jaiden who has been poorly sick all weekend from late Friday Evening and he is still poorly now, some of you may know he plays for Ripley Rangers and they play Sunday Mornings.
Well he has been sick all evening and this morning decided he wanted to play football and not let his mates down as without him they would have only had 6 players as some were away this weekend.
Well let me tell you that is commitment and coming from a 7 year old makes me a very proud Dad and needless to say he gave his all for 30 minutes before going in nets for the final 10 minutes as he was exhausted making two great saves to top the day off.
Well i can honestly say even though they were beaten i walked away ten foot tall as the proudest man there never once did i ask him to play or ask him to go it was his own decision to go and do his bit.
Im very proud of you mate and what you have done today and to do it to not let your team mates down has really made my day.
Just one more thing congratualtions on being Man of the Match too you really deserve it

Good evening and i must admit it has been a little cold today at our Factory in Langley Mill as we have had 3 full vans again from our suppliers the warehouse door has been open all day loading and unloading fireplaces and Stoves.
Along with the wintry rain or sleet we have been having i have not been warm all day due to the fact i left our office with just a tshirt and fleece on.
A few times today i have been into the showroom where our Firefox 12 Stove has been running away all day and it was so warm in there i could have fell asleep if i had sat on the leather suite longer.
So thinking about the forthcoming cold months it really is time for all our customers to light up the fireplaces or stoves you have bought and feel some warmth from your investment.
A roaring fire really does make a huge difference to a room not only are they fantastic for heat output they are warm to look at too as the flames dance around.

Had a spare hour yesterday afternoon so i was consturctive and added some of the marble fireplace packages to our website so our customers can purchase what we have in stock.
I have had these and many more images done for weeks but as we have been so busy at work there has been no spare time to get things added to our website infact in total we probably have around another 75 items to add to our website.
So i have introduced a new product to our range its the Flat Victorian Marble Fireplace which is the same as the Brompton marble fireplace constructed from the same marble but in a size that perfectly matches the standard stock hearths.
For years we have sold the Gallery 56″ Brompton Limestone but our new 54″ similar version is sure to be a great seller it matches perfectly the 54″ hearth making the fireplace package more symetrical.
So if you are looking to buy a marble fireplace have a look in that section and we know have increased the range we also have a carved corbel version which will also be added when i get another hour hopefully before Santa arrives.

Here at Castfireplaces we sell a huge amount of made to measure hearths and slips etc which we offer with a 2-3 week turn around in manufacture time.
At this time of year our manufacture times has been 3 weeks but im sorry to tell you anything placed order wise now would be a January delivery.
This is because all the manufacture time has now been taken with existing orders and they are busy right up to Christmas in the workshop so im afraid anything ordered will have to wait until January.
This also applies to any brick chambers for a firefox 5 suites and and slip sets our customers require, there is very little that can be done im afraid its just the way it is.
Whilst we do still have in stock lots of standard size hearths in stock but we do not keep and type of sub hearth sections or any slips so any order wanting these will be January Delivery.
So im afriad time has run out to get these made to measure fireplace items made before Santa Claus arrives but there is nothing we can do.
Sorry for having to relay this news so quickly this year its just really busy here at Castfireplaces and our suppliers we are all running on full capacity and time has just run out

I have read an article today about the savings of installing a wood burning stove and the fact that is saved him over £200 to £250 in his energy prices.
This article was written in 2008 so how much would that equate to seeing energy prices have risen hugely since then.
I knew fitting a wood burning stove when fitted will reduce your heating bills this article was based on the fact that the author had not bought any coal or wood etc but had purchased a few bags of sawdust logs.
If you do have a good source of free or cheap wood there is no reason why you too can not save money on your household energy bills.
