New Marble Fireplaces coming to cast fireplaces

Good evening a late post today im afriad ive been out to Nottingham with my son and his mate from school to watch WWE wrestling as a present for his birthday.
Anyway whilst i have been out enjoying myself my Brother has been working hard on some new images for us here at Castfireplaces so we can enlarge our marble fireplace range that we sell.
This will now include a whole range of fireplace packages based around the Brompton and Kingston marble surrounds we offer so our customers will have a better choice of marble fireplaces to purchase.
I will be adding these fireplaces hopefully over the next couple of days so then Castfireplaces will have the largest range of marble fireplace packages to be found online.
These will be available in a choice of Solid Fuel (real fire), Gas and electric use so our customers have all options to choose from with of course our choice of hearths.
This will add an extra 12 fireplace packages to this section giving a good choice for people who want a marble mantel.
So keep checking back later this week and they will be online for you all to purchase.
Right off to bed now i have another busy day tommorow with yet more stock arriving after 4 van fulls today it never seems to stop coming in.

Good Evening
Another busy day here at Castfireplaces both in the office and at the showroom where we have had numerous customer viwieng and collecting items today.
One phonecall today asked what type of fireplaces we sell and whether the gallery range are original victorian fireplaces which have been refurbished.
The Fireplaces we sell are actually reproduction fireplaces from the gallery range and also a range of modern fireplaces and of course Stoves.
So the caller was a little dissapointed that we did not have a showroom full of original fireplaces for them to come and view but as we only do new fireplaces i pointed him towards a company in Leicester that specialise in Georgian and victorian fireplaces.
In the past i have found buying an original cast iron fireplace is fine if everything is there and no spares or replacement parts are required, if you are missing items such as bars or hood plates it becomes a mammoth task sourcing original parts to complete your fireplace.
Im afriad with these bits missing they are not much use as a working fireplace but can be installed as decorative items.
Anyway off the man has gone to see Heritage and waht they have to offer and kindly said if he found anyone asking about a new fireplace or stove would point them in our direction as we are so helpful

Do you buy and sell Victorian Fireplaces

Good morning
Im off this weekend as its Mothering Sunday and Steve and Stuart are currently out delivering fireplaces and stoves in the south today.
We have changed our delivery day this week to a Saturday as all of us are parents and we have wives and girlfriends to spoil on mothers day as well.
So this moring i was in the office and had three seperate emails regarding whether we bought and sold Victorian Fireplaces.
We do stock reproduction Victorian fireplaces but do not sell originals or indeed buy them, whilst being a fantastic purchase there always seems to be something missing from original fireplaces whether it be a back or ashpan cover or various other parts.
We do not have a restoration facilty for returning these back to there former glory its something i used to be involved in years ago so know alot about but i do not want to start retailing original fireplaces.
There are many shops high street and online who specialise in the sale of Victorian and Edwardian Fireplaces and they will be happy to buy and sell original fireplaces.
So i have replied to all these customers and put them in touch with each other just by any small chance they may have what they are looking for.
So if you are looking to buy or sell an origianl victorian fireplace im afraid we can not help you but have a look through Ebay or google search a few online original fireplace companies and im sure you will find what you desire.

Do we buy Antique or Victorian Fireplaces

Often we get asked the question i have some antique fireplaces from our house would you be interested in buying them ive emailed you some photos.
Hera at Castfireplaces we only sell new fireplaces and stoves from the gallery and carron range and thats exactly what we do.
We do not have the time to restore original fireplaces and i even have some in stock that i bought 6 years ago and have never got round to having them renovated.
The problem with original antique fireplaces is the fact that they always sem to have bits missing whether it be bars hoods backs shelves etc they never seem to be complete and thats where the time factor comes into it sourcing them.
Also we do not have the facilities at our factory for proper restoration yes we can have them blasted and blacked up but as to welding and repairing them its not something i wish to undertake as a business.
I know of a few good firms who do nothing but originals and can point you in the right direction for you to sell them too but im afraid it is not something we undertake here at Castfireplaces.
I know most of you find us in google under antique fireplaces its just basically a phrase we use such as victorian fireplaces we dont sell them but people searching for those items do buy reproduction fireplaces confusing i know but thats the way it is.

So we often get asked what is a Victorian fireplace well basically the answer is a fireplace made in the reign of Queen Victoria 1819-1901 (Longest reining monarch) this period spans so many different decades it really does define a great era not only for fireplaces but for the shaping of things and items in general.
The Victorians were the masters of Cast iron and there are so many fantastic designs of fireplaces that a lot of our replica fireplace have been cast on an original.
Here at Castfireplaces we do not supply original victorian fireplaces but we suppy reproductions of this fabulaous era.
A fireplace of this great age varied from room to room from a plain combination or open grate in the servants quarters to a grand fireplace with decorated slate or Marble.
Any timber fireplace would always be painted (not like todays stripped wood fashion) and quite often grained or marbelized to match the more expensive original item.
In the bedrooms of any victorian house you would find a smaller combination fireplace with a shelf that was designed to be used as a heat source not just for display.
So many houses have lost these fantastic features over the years and in particular the 1970s so we do offer a good range of smaller bedroom fireplaces to compliment the larger ones we do.
