Firefox 12 Multifuel stove with Boiler Option

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

A brand new stove hass been added to the gallery collection of fireplaces it is the Firefox 12B Stove which has an efficient boiler that not only warms your room but will run upto 8 radiators and also heat your household water
The following ratings have been advised on this stove

Wood Burning
Output to Water  7.4 KW – Output to Room 6.2KW

Solid Fuel Burning
Output to Water 8KW – Output to Room 4.8KW

So as you can see this stove offers a great alternative to customers wanting a multifuel stove to do the heating and water too and also it leaves the capacity toheat the room it sits in to an output that is more than enough to heat all except the largest rooms.
In our guides section we do ahve a calculator that you can use to work out how many KW you need to heat a room space.
This stove will be coming into stock to add to the full range we already have on display in our showroom at Langley Mill and with the weather starting to drop very cold im sure you will agree there has never been a better time to invest in a new Multi Fuel Stove to take away the winter chill and to cut your fuel bills.

What a day delivering Fireplaces and Stoves

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Hello I did not get chance yesterday to post the article regarding featured wooden fireplace of the month as I had a horrendous day delivering Fireplaces and Stoves.
I was awoken by Stuart at 4.30 am on Sunday telling me his girlfriend (Rhians Sister) was ill and he had to look after there little baby Georgie as she was to unwell.
Well at 4.30 am in the morning there is not too much I can do to rearrange delivery or get a replacement driver so me and Rhian who had woke up too were sat in the Kitchen over a cup of coffee deciding what to do.
As luck had it my delivery run was only short as I wanted to be back for my best friends daughters birthday party at 12.30 so I had to get to Fareham 1st drop at 8am ( i was ther for 7.40am) and work my way up to Southmoor in Oxford with 6 deliveries.
We had the fireplace delivery route spread all over the kitchen worktops and then I said I will do them both and we sorted out Stuart meeting me in Southmoor Oxford at 10.15 my arrival time there and then I would work my way round his route too whilst he drove empty van home.
In the meantime Rhian will go round to their house and look after little baby and then take kids to the party.
So all sorted off I set and Stuart met me on time and I had rung all the customers and 2 of them in Herne Bay and SW London said they would have delivery next week as they did not need delivery this week. Thank you for this you saved me fours on an already long day and as I said you will both get free delivery for next week.
So now I was on a roll and went straight to Ipswich to deliver Firefox 5 Stove and was only 45 minutes later than our estimated time of 11.15 –12.15.
This was the same for all the other 7 deliveries I made around Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and arrived back at home after loading up at the Workshop for some local deliveries today at 7pm.
Very tired and Hungry I sat back and thought even when things do go wrong we do have the ability to sort it out and thanks to my mates who said you should have rung me I would have done it beware of answering your mobiles very early in the morning it could be me asking a favour.

Anyway sorry Maz  for missing poppys party and not having a beer with you im sure we will catch and make up for it at football soon

Derby Black Fireplace Novembers Featured Cast iron

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

So it perils me being a forest supporter to have a fireplace named after a team i dislike but it was not me who named it and within our group inc our suppliers it is known as the Dirty for these reasons only.
Joking apart it happens to be a great cast iron combination fireplace and has a fireplace award from back in the day to its name.
It was dicontinued from the gallery range a few years ago but it is still made and we do keep it in stock because it is a very nice fireplace and also because it sells quite well.
So really it is exclusive to us no other website i know of sells it and we will continue to sell this fireplace.
On the new website categories it will be featuring as a package for both gas and solid fuel so it will give our customers a chance to buy this cast iron with a greater choice of options again all at our fantastic prices.
Anway about the Derby it is available in Black Grate polished finish only which really brings out the decorative features in the casting it does have a good sized back on suitable for solid fuel use and takes quite a large gas insert too.
Have alook at the photograph to view this fireplace in all its splendour and i am sure you will agree it does look good even if it does have a dodgy name

Radley and Bartello Package Novembers Featured Limestone Fireplace

Friday, November 6th, 2009

So the new format for our monthly-featured fireplaces starts today and 1st off we will start with our Limestone section.
This months featured limestone fireplace is the Radley and Bartello Limestone Package
The Radley arched fireplace is available in Black or Highlighted finish and is shown Highlighted in the photo below.
It is one of our more decorative arched fireplaces but I think is still very elegant looking, it has the same cast iron back as the lytton and jubilee so does not offer the largest area for burning solid fuel on but you can still throw on a medium sized log.
We mainly sell the Highlighted version but we do stock the black variety which is better suited to solid fuel.
The bartello Limestone Mantel was new for the 08-09 Gallery brochures and has sold very well. Made from 100% solid agean Limestone it is a slightly off white stone that is sculptured with a fancy ornate shelf and legs.
The Bartello is one fine looking mantel and would grace any chimney breast in A Victorian or modern styled home so have a look at the photograph shown below and click this to go straight to the item for any further information.
Tomorrow we will feature a cast iron fireplace from the fantastic Gallery range we supply.
Right off to celebrate my son Jaidens 5th Birthday mmm its a kids tea party.

Change to Fireplace Features on our Website

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Right lets kick off Novembers featured items with a new format, we normally feature the best selling Fireplace items in our article sections but we have hit a problem this month as all the best selling items we have featured before.

We seem to be selling the same items every month so we have decided to alter the format and make it a feature every month showing you some alternatives to our best selling items.

This way with over 400 fireplace and stoves items on our website plus new designs we keep adding all the time we are sure never to repeat the same item again for quite a few years and you our customers get to see items that you had not even considered and our updated front page will be the featured fireplace of the month available all month as a quick link to buy this item.

So this feature will start tomorrow and with updated website going live in December be sure to keep your eyes out for this new feature.

As with all new launches we have been testing this site for a month now and its 99% ready to go but as we are in the busiest time of the year we have decided to hold it back until December as we do have the time to add items or make large changes to any items online and if anything hoes wrong we do not need any downtime in the busy time of November.

We could leave it till the summer but December is not as mad sales wise so we have more time to alter things and to ensure Google likes our new pages and continues to rank us on its 1st page for our chosen search phrases this is the main reason for this delay but trust me it will be well worth the wait.

Do i need a Damper Flap to use with my Fireplace

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

I was asked today about whether a customer needs to use a damper flap to contol the heat output of a solid fuel stove and whether this can be done.
Well i know somewhere online you can buy a damper flap to fit inline with your flue pipe after drilling a few holes but im off the opinion if the stove is correctly installed and is fitted by Hetas registered fitter there is no need for one.
It is not ideal to control a stove by closing off the fumes escaping and i understand some chimney are so big the fire runs like a furnace.
The stoves we supply have an air intake slot at the bottom of them and when fitted correctly this is an ideal way to control the burning tempearature of your stove.
Before fitting if you find chimney does pull to much try a cowling on the chimney pot or even better have chimney lined with a Chimney Lining Kit these are the same dimension as the flue pipe so will stop all excess draw and give you optimum control over your wood burning fireplace.
So really do not butcher your stove pipe get it fitted by Hetas qualified fitter and nothing else needs to be done you can simply contol it by the air intake like it was designed to be used
Simple as that.

Customer Buys Fireplace Suite and Collects for Fitting Tomorrow

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

I feel like i have done someone a good deed today my first phonecall of the day was from a customer in Beverley near Hull who enquired as to whether they could come and collect a Firefox 5 Multi Fuel Chamber Suite as they had ordered one from there local fireplace shop and had arranged a fitter who was coming tomorrow to fit.
After calling the shop to find out what time it was being delivered today they were told it would not be there for another two weeks so they were very unhappy. They came across us via google and rang as soon as we opened.
Luckily for them we do keep this suite in stock and had 1 left available so they were here just before lunchtime and we loaded the suite into their van and off they went saying how pleased they were to able to finish decorating after fireplace had been fitted.
Now im not here to offer wisdom but it seems normal to me to have Fireplace or Stove delivered well before fitter is due so it can be checked it is all present and correct and is what you want.
Leaving it till the last minute can create problems so please bear this in mind if you are wanting to order a fireplace or stove.
