Im pleased to say we will be starting work next week on our new fireplace factory showroom and moving a few items across as we look to complete the deal by the end of this month.
To say im excited about this move and our new factory and showroom is an understatement.
Im really looking forward to strating to move in our new limestone mantels and get them set out properley within our forklift area and i have done all the drawing s for the new larger showroom and our customer waiting area along with my new office etc.
New toliets and water heaters etc have been ordered and that work starts next week too so its all systems go whilst im on holiday with Daz who makes our timber surrounds sorting out the construction for the new showroom.
He is very used to my drawings and scribbles and we have site meeting monday morning to run through everything and make sure he knows what i want.
To start from a blank canvas with an empty factory is ideal so we can do exactly what we want with everything where we want it.
A new alarm system and cctv is also being installed and finnally a new set of roller shutter doors to complete the job.
So if you ring me next week and im at the factory and you hear a load of banging and shouting i will be probably helping whoever is there i just cant help myself.
I am going to take photos to bore you all with right throughout this transformation

Fireplaces to Jersey can you Help
Friday, July 30th, 2010A few emails and phonecalls have been exchanged with one of our customers in St Brelade Jersey as to whether we can supply a Crown and Brompton Limestone fireplace package for solid fuel and have it delivered to her in Jersey.
We do not deliver there in our own vans due to the cost of the ferry and the time factor in sailing etc but we have sent items to shipping agents for them to be forwarded on.
Anyway after email tennis etc about sizes and styles they decided on the crown half polish and 54″ brompton limestone and have passed us the details of the shipping agent they are using.
This is a firm called Ship2me which is aprt of the Jersey post group and all we have to do is deliver the fireplace set to the depot in Southampton with her customer number and delivery address details attached to all the fireplace parts she has ordered.
Before we have had to send by pallet which is not ideal but the people at ship2me do all there own packing.
Only 1 snag they are not open on asunday which is our normal delivery day but with many freinds in the delivery trade this will not be a problem for us and have arranged weekday shipping to them.
So i hope all this goes well and will advise any of our potential customers in Jersey to give this company a try after our customer has recieved her new fireplace and surround in one piece.
She is confident all will be well as she has used them before so ill keep you all informed of how it goes on.
Collections Deliveries non stop day at castfireplaces
Thursday, July 29th, 2010What a busy little day i have had i was on local delivery runs this morning i say local well i went to Melton Mowbray, Rothley, Malvern and Darlaston delivereing fireplaces and stoves to people i had promised it would be delivered this week one way or another.
One of our last calls was opposite a fireplace shop and he was glaring at me from the pavement delivering a fireplace to one of his locals its not my fault we are cheaper than him and offer a better service infact looking at the display in your windows its no wonder people are taking your customers.
On the way back home i collected a granite hearth made to measure from our suppliers workshop in derby which is another promised rush job for sundays delivery.
Then onto our workshop to collect 48″ oak lincoln fireplace mantels that are going to Kendal tommorow.
All this rushing about delivering and collecting items im now sat in my office organising delivery times for this weekends deliverys so i still have a mountain of work to do.
Rhian has also added some orders to out folders and has arranged a nice early morning delivery for next Sunday to at 6.30 am in Milton Keynes due to customer going out for the day.
So its 6pm and my tea smells gorgeous id just thought i would let you in to what has been happening in my little world today.
Funeral tommorow for my Great Aunty Doris so im not available in the afternoon for a couple of hours but will catch up with everything when im back in the Office.
Not all Fireplace retailers are the same

Im sat in my office after a busy morning unloading two vans laden with Fireplaces and Hearths from our suppliers and during a cup of tea with the lads we were laughing about various things and of course football as we are all Forest Fans.
Anyway we got on to another retailer who used to have a shop and runs a businees from home with no stock or any showroom.
Now these are the sort of retailers (not only in the fireplace trade) you should steer clear of as if anything goes wrong they seem to have dissapeared and you get no joy from them and you are left to foot the bill.
They will also have no product insurance and basically are just out to sell you what they can and pocket the money.
Anyway it turned out he had to send customers to the bank as he does not take credit or debit cars either let alone the embarrasing way he shows customers stock but thats another story now does that sound dodgy?
It does to me just cash only and no showroom i would be very suprised if any VAT or TAX was paid on that transaction, these are the sort of traders that give online retialers a bad name, people running from a spare bedroom with a pc.
Price is one of the main reasons people do shop online but do a little research into who you are buying from
Do they have premises to visit
Do they have contact details on there website
Are they VAT Registered
Do they answer Emails and Phonecalls when you contact them
Do they offer Proper Payment Methods
If the answer is no to any of these basic questions just move on to another fireplace shop and as you will find shopping with Castfireplaces we are already one of the cheapest if not the cheapest and you do not have to sacrifice any service to get these great fireplaces
We just sell Great Fireplaces at Great Prices as simple as that no ifs or buts with us here.

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010As gallery stockists we do supply the full range of gallery fireplaces from both our showroom and also via our website.
You are more than welcome to come and view just ring us to make appointment but for those not wishing to visit us read on.
We have contemplated having a pdf brochure online for our customers to download but on feedback we have discovered our customers prefer to have it posted to them in hard copy so they can look through it at their leisure and indeed even cut bits out like one of our customers today told me they did.
We do have a full range of brochures from Gallery which are the Purple brochure containing all the Cast iron fireplaces with Timber and Limestone Mantels etc.
The pink brochure has Stoves and Firebaskets in and finally the green Brochure has modern suites in Jura stone and Limestone etc.
All these brochures are available from us free of charge and will be snt out in the post to you.
Not many if any other online fireplace companies offer this service along with our samples service its what helps make Castfireplaces different from the rest.
So if you do require a brochure we will be adding a Brochure request section on our website so you can fill in your detasils there and leave the rest up to us.

60 Sets of Cheap Fireplace Tiles to go online
Monday, July 26th, 2010Here at Castfireplaces we are having a little clear out of stock we wish to move along ready for our big move in units as we will be oving next door to Larger unit.
Over time we have collected what is now a large collection of fireplace related items such as surounds,hearths,baskets etc that for one reason or another have never been sent out.
Some items like surrounds we have bought to be photographed with various casts as packages but not got round to it.
Anyway we also have 60 sets of Gallery Fireplace tiles that are from old brochures and all these have been discontinued.
I will be adding these sets to our website this week in our Clearance Corener section and these will be available from £25 which is a lot less than cost price.
We expect them to sell pretty quickly and we do have limited numbers of each tile set on this never to be repeated offer.
They are fantastic value and at a fraction of the cost of our tubeline tiles offer a great bargain and will change the look of any fireplace.
So keep checking back this week i will let you all know when they are online and just to let you you know i will be updating stock levels on all the Clearnace bargain items as we are running low on some stock and only have 1 london plate now left in stock.
