Castfireplaces has me working late on my Birthday

Well another hectic day and im still sat in the office sorting out all the paperwork for this weekends delivery runs to London and the South and i have another hours work to do before i finish.
Now its my Birthday today and ive had a very busy day with meeting customers, loading our fireplace delivery vans, office work and even finding time to update our articles section.
So by the time i finish there is not going to be much left of my birthday but work here has to be done by myself and Rhian as we run the company.
So with bad weather on the way and snow forecast for all of the UK poeple have again gone stove and fireplace shopping in droves which is why its so busy.
So i have my fingers and toes crossed the weather is kind to our drivers but im pretty sure they are in for a bad weekend when out delivering im looking forward to Saturday evening and Sunday at the Belfry for a fire and ice spa treatment so im not working this weekend.
So im going to finish off work now and finally relax and open a few cards and get the kids singing Happy Birthday.

Many thanks to you at castlefireplaces, my order was dealt with promptly and I now have had it installed and in I’m in the throws of getting used to it, I’m sure there’s a knack to lighting it properly and with practice I’ll get there. (any tips)
I do have another question for you and that is I have used the back exit flu not the top exit flu, there is a sliding plate inside the top of the stove which would depending how it was positioned would leave a gap at the top or at the back at the moment I have it positioned so the gap is at the back, is this correct.

What products do you use for sealing around the flue

When fitting a stove or using a chimney liner and gather hood we do get asked by customers which is the best way to seal either the flue or register plate.
The idea of a register plate is to form a seal to the chimney breast forcing the flue to draw through the flue pipe and not pull air round the sides of the register plate.
The best way to do this is to seal the register plate to the chimney breast and we use a heat resistant silicone this is now available for sale on our website and is offered in Grey or Black.
It has a temperature resisatnce of 300 degrees which is perfect for sealing around the register plates and also the flue, once fitted and sealed this will ensure its airtight and then the stove can only pull air through the air intake slide.
This gives far better control over the stove and will also stop soot and debris from the chimney landing on top of the stove, we do not use fire cement for this purpose as it will simply crack and fall out this is used for sealing the flue to the collar and nothing else.
Castfireplaces do not suggest you fit a stove yourself and strongly suggest you use a HETAS registered fitter for any solid fuel installation and this advice is for customers who have had stoves fitted and wish to seal the debris plate or flue

The customer service received from your company was superb from start to finish. Having made my choice from the website, I contacted you by email on 2nd January 2012 at 11:50 with a query about the fire. I did not expect a reply as it was still the bank holiday but you replied at 12:14 with an answer ! Having decided to place an order the same day, I received a telephone call from you early evening on Tues 3rd January to ask if I could take delivery on Thursday 5th Jan. A driver turned up exactly as promised at about 08:30, carried everything into the appropriate room and checked everything off the order etc. He was extremely pleasant and helpful and made sure I was completely happy before he left. The fire itself is now fitted and looks lovely. I’m thrilled with my purchase and would confidently recommend you to others. Its not just about the end product, its about the treatment you give along the way which was second to none. Well done.

February Winter Day and our stoves are roaring away

Well as we enter yet another month and the weather is what winter weather should be and even i was a little cold when i arrived at our warehosue and showroom this morning.
As we there all day the showroom fires were quickly put on along with the kettle and the Firefox 12 soon lit and roaring away, so i was chatting away to one of our staff members outside in the factory it really was pretty cold and our vans said it was minus 1.
So within 30 minutes the showroom was warm and we sat down having a cup of tea in front of the roaring fire sorting out all the delivery van runs and loading checklist sheets we use.
I can honsetly say i didnt want to move from in front of the fire but work has to be done and we had John from our suppliers arriving at 10.30 with a van full of stock for our warehouse.
So we worked away loading the first van and ended up having dinner again back in the showroom in front of the fire by now the showroom was really warm and i was sat there in just a tea shirt eating my lunch.
More time in the cold went quickly but i did have chance to make it back into the showroom 3 times showing customers around and taking orders.
So back in the office later this afternoon and our Tiger Plus Stove at home has been running all day to and the whole house is lovley and warm too.
So winter weather you can be as cold as you like as when you have a multi fuel stove to warm your house or workplace there is no better place to be than in front of a real fire

So another very busy day at Castfireplaces and the website orders and phones seem to have gone into overdrive like a cold November day with the i want it for Christmas mentality.
Its very strange in our trade what a little cold weather does and the fact people have been paid helps as they again have money to spend after the expense of December.
When the frost arrives sales of solid fuel fieplaces and stoves goes mad it happens everytime the thermometer reaches around the zero mark.
So with cold weather forecast for around a month if you believe what some forecasters are saying it appears Castfireplaces are going to be in for another very busy month.
We very well equipped to deal with even the most busiest months of the year so you can rest assured your chosen fireplace or stove will arrive in not time at all.
For those requiring miracles we do try but always have the option of collection if we can not meet your deadlines such as a customer today who has ordered a Daisy fireplace but needed it for the weekend im afraid there was no chance we could deliver for then so he is having it collected by courier from our Langley Mill showroom.
So get your fireplace or stove nice and early before the cold weather begins to bite as its forecast for minus 10 in some places this week which is really cold

Good afternoon and first a big congratulations to Ripley Rangers under 7′s football team who Castfireplaces sponsor as they had a fantastic 6-2 win yesterday with my son Jaiden who was captain geting on the scoresheet again and his best mate Adam who hit his first hat-trick, also Coby deserves a mention adding 2 more to his tally infact the whole team played really well.
Any way back to fireplace matters and im in the office again all day tomorrow as our delivery vans are out delivering im adding new fireplace packages to our website again increasing the range we offer.
We have also found a fantastic supplier for spare glass for all our stoves which we will also be listing and this can be sent directly from them at a postal charge of £4.95.
So with new products ready for listing we are always adding new products and im very happy with with the goods we now have in stock for you all to purchase.
So its the turn of the wooden mantels in the morning which are going to be listed first as i work my way through these, we also have a few more items to be added to our clearance corner section.
We just never seem to find the time but i have set aside Tuesdays now as the day we add things to our website so thats my job tomorrow all day

Arctic Winter about to hit UK get your fireplaces ready

So looking at weather forecasts and its finally taking a turn for the worse and the Met Office says we are going to be hit by some arctic weather lasting a few weeks.
With this is supposed to be freezing temps and even some snow forecast, to be honest we have been very lucky this winter with the weather.
So when the weather does turn cold make sure your fireplace or stove is ready to be used and you have plenty of fuel either wood or coal to burn incase it gets very cold.
Here at Castfireplaces we are very well stocked of smokless coal and logs for our stoves both at home and also at our showroom in Langley Mill.
I love cold weather and love having a fire going to keep the winter weather at the doorstep so we have plenty of fuel and we ordered it early in aticipation of another harsh winter.
Im keeping my fingers crossed though it does not intefere with our fireplace home delivery service as much as inejoy snow it does cause chaos to the UK roads which makes it difficult for us to deliver fireplaces and stoves.
So get your fuel ready get your fireplace cleaned and lets all get ready for a little bit of cold weather and then you can really enjoy your new fire as its intended to be used.
