Four Black Pembroke Fireplaces please and can you Grate Polish Them All

Monday, September 7th, 2009

I have been emailed by our website company the outlay for the Website update and I must say it looks fantastic I cant wait for it to be tested and to go live.
Today has been a strange day we have sold four Black Pembroke Fireplaces to 3 different customers all who wanted them black leading and all of them were for solid fuel use. We offer this service free of charge as an option on all of our black fireplaces. We use black lead grate polish or Stovax graphite polish as it is now called. It’s a simple job but can be messy if you have not used it before I actually don’t mind doing it I always think the fireplace looks great when there finished and makes them look far more traditional than the plain matt black finish.
I am not aware of any other company who offers this service let alone free of charge but it is unusual to have 4 ordered in 1 day all to be black leaded, we normally only do one or two a week so I know what I am doing Wednesday morning after our gallery delivery has arrived im blacking up fireplaces.
This is just another small reason that makes us give a better service than any online or high street shop they just don’t offer what we do at don’t just take my word at it have a look and ask other companies what they offer and then come back to us we are really the best so why shop elsewhere for your gallery Fireplaces

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Cast Iron Combination Fireplaces are always a popular seller and this month is no exception selling 15 various sets and this months best sellers has produced a draw between the Pembroke Black Fireplace and the one we are featuring the Barcelona Fireplace which was our joint winner in Black Finish.

The Black version looks better for solid fuel use and the Full polish is really suited to gas use with a nice simple pebble effect fire it really looks good.

Large Nexus Black Fire Basket from Gallery Fireplaces

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

The last best selling feature of the month is the Fire Baskets section and this month the winner is The Large Nexus Basket This Basket is in our Contemporary basket section and has always been one of our better selling firebasket. It’s very simple in design and is available for use with gas and solid fuel. It comes in a Black or Chrome finish however the Chrome Basket is only suitable for display or gas purposes, as the chrome will flake off if used for solid fuel use. The Black version can be used for Display, Gas and Solid fuel use
The basket is a really good size and is 760mm wide and 405mm deep so you do need a large opening to fit this in. If this is to big have a look at its smaller brother the Small Nexus, which is 610mm wide x 315mm deep.
Both these baskets have a good area for burning real logs on so you can throw a good log on then sit back and relax and watch the fire burn away. Is there anything better than throwing small bits of tree onto a fire and hear it crackling and the gorgeous smell and ambiance of flames.
This months best seller was the Black Version for solid fuel use which comes with an ash pan which is ideal for cleaning away all the debris after the wood or coal has burnt away see photograph below for this featured best selling Fire Basket of June.

Which Fireplace finish to choose

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

When you have decided on which Fireplace you like the style of and which one is suitable for the dimensions of the chimney breast you then need to decide the finish of the fireplace you are buying. We offer four different finishes to our fireplaces and they are as follows
BLACK
This matt black finish is ideal for use with solid fuel fires as it will not discolour and it has a heat resistant paint applied to its surface to provide many years of use.
BLACK LEADED
This is a finish we can apply to all our matt black fireplaces it is very similar to the Old “ Zebo” that grandma used to use to polish up the kitchen range and really brings out the details to the fireplace it’s simply applied by brush then polished off to create the sheen.
HIGHLIGHTED/ HALF POLISH
This process is done at manufacture and highlighting is polishing the raised features of the fireplace to enhance the detail on the cast iron. Half Polish is a band of silver that is polished silver offering an in between of highlighting and full polishing. Both are very effective and really look good we use highlighted or h/polish fireplaces for gas use mainly but they can be used for solid fuel however the area around the bars can sometimes tarnish from solid fuel use.
FULL POLISH
This is a complete polished silver finish which is basically as it says the cast iron is polished to a smooth bright finish, it adds the contemporary modern look to any traditional fireplace.
All the cast iron fireplaces we sell are available in a variety of these finishes so just look at each item to see what finish they are available in shown below are the options we offer.
