Are Cast Fireplaces a reputable company

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

When shopping at Cast Fireplaces you can be assured we are a reputable Limited Company who are VAT registered and issue invoices with all our purchases and offer the security of credit card payments for all our customers.
The reason I am writing this is because today through one of our customers we have come across a website who sells fireplaces who only takes cash or cheque payment and refused to take a card payment when asked to do so.
They also offered him the option of paying cash without a receipt as “he was going on holiday and wanted some extra spending money”
Don’t worry mr fireplace man we will be reporting you to vat and tax Monday morning. I Really would love to name and shame your company and website you give online retailers a bad name.
If this sort of dealings with a fireplace company doesn’t start alarm bells ringing I am not sure what will. The chances of anybody actually receiving the fireplace after they had paid cash or cheque seems very unlikely to me. God help anyone who has ordered from them if anything goes wrong and they need to claim under warranty.
The best thing was his items were not even very cheap they were near high street retail price so not only did our new customer save some money he will also benefit from extra security of credit card payment and the security of buying from one of the best fireplace shops to be found online.
And finally we are an established Business so the warranty you get from us is valid and in the unusual event of anything going wrong will be dealt by us at our expense.
So if you are looking for a new Cast Iron Fireplace please buy this in mind when searching the Internet and beware of the dodgy dealers we know who you are.

Great Customer Service leads to New Fireplace Order

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Here at Cast Fireplaces we do give all our orders the same level of service whether you are ordering a tube of grate polish for £5.95 or a Henley and Ripley Limestone Package for £665. This reason I am writing this is because today (yes we do work Sundays) we have had a previous customer ring and order a Limestone Gas Package from us because they had ordered a simple tube of grate polish in the past and were impressed by our quick service and helpful manner when asked questions about how to apply the black lead. This they said was the reason they again ordered from us again as they said didn’t even look anywhere else online, as they knew we would offer the best service.
We do really look forward to repeat orders as it shows we are offering a good service and that our customers do appreciate the extra level we go to make there buying experience as simple as possible and along with our competitive pricing and the most excellent home delivery service with 1 hour delivery time slot I’m sure that is why we do enjoy a lot of customer recommendations and repeat orders so if you do need any help or advice with any of our products just email or ring us for honest free correct advice without any sales pressure we really are here to give you the best advice that’s not available from most other High street or Internet based shops.

Our Range of Tiled Insert Fireplaces

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

We sell Gallery fireplaces on our website and the more traditional type of Victorian fireplace image when thinking of these is one of a Tiled Insert and some type of surround whether in Timber or Stone. What could be more of a period feature than a tiled fireplace and a marble surround? This design is still as popular as it ever has been and a good proportion of our fireplace packages sales are made up of tiled inserts.
In this Section we sell the fireplaces as individual items so you can just buy the Tiled insert without the tiles or back if you already have them. We supply Cast Iron Backs for these but they will sit in front of standard 16” clay Milner back because the sizes have not changed at all.
We do have a lot of customers buying a tiled fireplace on its own as they have hearths and existing surrounds they wish to use. We offer a good selection of tiles to compliment the insert you have chosen.
Most of the casts are a standard size of 37” x 37” which will fit surrounds with a 34” to 36” opening we do a few smaller ones for narrow openings too. We offer them in Black or Highlighted finishes so have a look through this section and see what you think of this type of reproduction period fireplace and pick a set of tiles to match your décor and there you have it the main focal feature for any traditional room setting.

Tradition Highlighted now in our fireplace gallery

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Cast Fireplaces were contacted by Samantha Clark to help source a cast iron fireplace and granite hearth to fit an existing surround the customer already had.
After confirming what size the existing surround including opening dimensions was and whether it was for gas or solid fuel use, we always ask these questions so we can recommend something that will not only fit but can be used for the purpose intended. After all this was discussed they decided to go with the Tradition Arched Insert in the Highlighted finish complete with a solid fuel kit.
This fireplace is ideal for solid fuel use as you can see in the photo you can got a good sized log on it this was supplied and is now fitted in the customers hallway greeting everyone that visits and as Sam says” most of our visitors comment on how well it goes in the hall”
We are always willing to give free helpful advice on all the products we sell and can often suggest products that you might think wouldn’t fit or had not considered. We never lead customers into products you don’t think are right but our good sound advice is often taken and customers are always pleased with the finished result.
So take a look at the photo Sam kindly sent us for our gallery and see what we can do for you.

Pembroke Black Fireplace Best Seller

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Our best selling combination fireplace of May goes to The Pembroke Combination Fireplace in Black finish this fantastic fireplace is one of my favourites but I prefer the full polish version (which came second). This Combination has always been one of our best sellers and I am not surprised to see it become this month’s winner. We sell the Pembroke on its own as a combination fireplace or we also offer it as a package suitable for Gas, Electric or Solid Fuel use.
With a shelf width of 48” this fireplace is large enough for most size rooms without looking lost on some of the larger chimneys. It is perfectly in proportion and I’m sure this is the gallery ranges best selling combination fireplace.
The Pembroke has the option of having an extra deep back so people using for solid fuel have the extra room to throw on even bigger logs it comes with a larger grate and ash pan to allow the burning area to increase to a size that’s ideal for solid fuel use. The Cast has a damper flap that opens and closes so when the fireplace is not in use it can be shut to stop heat escaping up the chimney or debris falling down, this damper flap is found in most of our combination fireplaces.
It is quite a simple cast fireplace with a simple arched band and two scrolled sections that sit above the arch whilst being traditional in style it also blends in with modern living with its simple style.
The photo below shows the Black Pembroke with granite hearth and deeper back if you wish to order this months winning Combination Fireplace just order online or contact us.

Langley Solid Oak Fireplace Mantel

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

The Second featured item of our new Modern Fireplaces is the Langley Solid Oak Surround. This Oak mantel has no overhang on the shelf so it is made in a box section style that is very simple. Made form 100% solid American oak and finished in a natural oiled finish it is a very simple design fireplace surround and is perfectly suited to Modern Day Living. With a size of 52” shelf width and an opening of 34” x 34” this surround will take a lot of our Larger Arched Inserts. On our Website we have listed them as Gas, Electric and Solid Fuel packages such as the Coronet and Langley solid fuel package this shows how the Modern surround can be mixed with a simple arched fireplace to create a Cast iron fireplace package that has modern appeal.
This design of surround is also suited to electric and gas packages with the simple Granite Panel and hearth set and we have listed those too in Our Modern Fireplaces Sections which comes with the Fires and a choice of trim and fret to personalise the look you are after. Also available is the new Gallery Aurora high output glass fronted fire which has also been photographed with this mantel so as you can see from the photos below this surround will work well with a lot of the current range we offer that’s why we are sure we will have a great selling surround to offer our customers a good choice when choosing a firplace for your home.

Work Started on Fireplace Show Room

Monday, May 25th, 2009

The New fireplace showroom work has started last week and it always amazes me how much stock we keep when you start to move it around so the Tradesmen can get in and start the new structure. All our old fireplace displays have been taken down and stored away in another corner for some of them to go back on display once the room is finished. We expect the new showroom to be open at the end of July to show you a good selection of the Gallery Fireplaces that we sell. It would be interesting to hear from customers what items they would like to see on display and would therefore welcome comments suggesting a particular style of fireplace from our website. We intend to have the full range of Stoves that we sell and a few wooden surrounds and Limestone surrounds but we have two spare display spaces left and would like to find out what people wish to see when visiting a fireplace showroom. As we sell Cast iron fireplaces these will also be on display in the showroom. So if you do have any thoughts please leave comment or send us an email. The amount of stock we keep will not decrease due to the larger showroom as this is being built on a second floor arrangement so collections are still available and in the meantime you are still more than welcome to come and visit the factory so give us a ring and make an appointment.
