Electric Fireplace sales are on the rise this month
Tuesday, July 28th, 2009As we head towards the end of the month of July which is supposed to be one of our quieter months I am working out which packages have sold best for our features ive noticed a huge amount of electric fireplaces that we have sold this month. Electric Fireplaces are normally used when people have faulty chimneys and don’t want to line them or when an effect is just required without a heat output. They are not as realistic as a gas or solid fuel fire however they are certainly better than nothing.
We have recently order the new ELO fire which allows the heat when used to be blown over the bars which means you don’t have to remove the ash pan cover to benefit from this, they also come with a remote controller they only cost an extra £35 than the standard electric fire we offer so im sure it will be a good seller.
We have already sold 1 to a customer without them even being on our website he had seen it in his local shop and ordered one from us for his existing fire when buying a new fireplace for another room so he was a happy man telling me we had saved him over £100 on just the electric insert itself.
So with this in mind if you do see some new items we don’t show on our website please contact us it is normally something we can source at a price that will beat the high street shops every time.
Finally some of the Gremlins have been ironed out from our site but the article section is still running a little slower than normal but we will be up to speed in no time at all and at least our ordering system is back up and running online thanks again for all your patience whilst we have been dealing with this.
Victorian Style Bedford Mantel is Modern Fireplaces Best Seller
Wednesday, July 8th, 2009Once again we get round to which of our Modern Fireplaces has sold best in the Month of June and this Month it is the Granite Panel and Pine Bedford Suite which has been ordered in both gas and electric use making it the run away winner in this section.
We are in the process of altering this category to make it easier to navigate the various sections so keep an eye out for that.
Let me tell you a little more about this month’s winner. This set is a little strange to call a modern fireplace as it has a very traditional Victorian
Styled Pine mantel which is called the Bedford. This surround is made from solid pine and features two nice scrolled corbels just underneath the shelf. Apart from that it’s reasonably plain and is suited to most inserts.
When we photographed these together I wasn’t sure whether it went well together but after giving it a try im now convinced and so are this months customers that it works.
The Matching panel and hearth set we supply is available in two sizes of 48†and 54†each with the Bedford surround to match.
The Electric and Hotbox Gas Fire inserts we supply with this package can be fitted with any of our Gallery Fret and trim sets available in various colours and styles to personalise the look of your new fireplace, this option creates numerous looking fires and we always confirm you trim and fret choice after your order has been placed to make sure you get the right item you want.
The photograph below shows the Pine Bedford with the electric insert complete with Bauhaus Silver Fret and Silver trim to match so if you wish to but just click on photo below.
The Nottage is joint best selling combination Fireplace
Sunday, July 5th, 2009Cast Iron Combination Fireplaces have always been very good sellers of our and offer great value when buying fireplace as you do not need a separate surround so its always a busy section on our website. This month we have a tie as to which is our best seller the first one is the Pembroke Black which was last months winner and the other one which we are going to Feature is The Nottage Combination
The Nottage is a classic Arched combination fireplace with a shelf that measures 30â€, its available in a Black or Highlighted finish and has a very decorative finish to it making it quite ornate.
We tend to recommend using this fireplace in bedrooms and dining rooms or even living rooms with a small chimneybreast or where you only want a small fireplace feature it is perfectly suited to all these situations and will be sure to make a really nice feature for any room
With prices starting from £210 for the matt black version it really is a bargain and as always we offer it for sale as a package suitable for use with solid fuel, gas and electric use so take a little look at the Highlighted Nottage Fireplace shown below with a granite hearth and then see for yourself why this month it has become the joint best seller along with the Pembroke

Nottage Highlighted Fireplace
Modern Fireplace Changes to this Category
Friday, June 26th, 2009The Modern Fireplace seems to be our fastest growing section what originally started out as one section we know have plans to alter it and split the categories up into sections that are dedicated to each particular type here we will try and explain what they will become
Jura–Stone This section will feature all our Jurastone suites that are available for use with gas and electric fires, we currently do not offer solid fuel option except for when we use a Jura stone surround such as the Longford and feature it with a cast iron fireplace. This Stone is available in two finishes and both will be offered on our website with various fire options.
Micromarble This again is going to be a featured section with the options of purchasing full suites in Mocha Beige or Marfil, which are the two, finishes available in this type of fireplace. We will again be offering a full selection of fires to complete the packages.
Portuguese Limestone This natural products is available as an option for most of our Modern Fireplaces it’s a white limestone with darker and lighter veins which are a natural feature of this product. We offer full suites with panels and hearths in the same material to form a unique fire set to grace any room.
Granite The Black granite panel and hearth set has been added to our modern range as we feel it gives a very contemporary look and is perfectly suited to everyday living. These sets are available with numerous mantels and are offered with both gas solid fuel and electric.
These category changes will take effect over the next few weeks as we update and alter our website so until then they are all in the one category so it may take a little time navigating through them but they are all there for you to see and buy.
Where can i Buy Fire and Trim Sets
Monday, June 22nd, 2009We also sell Electric, Gas fires and Convector fires on there own on our website if you simply want to change the gas fire you have for something more modern or some thing has better efficiency. We now supply a good range of Gallery fires and can offer both High Output fires and High Efficiency fires too. Some of them require a trim and fret for these and we keep them all in a section entitled Fires and Frets.
This Category is where they are all available without having to buy the full suite, its surprising what a difference it makes to the look of the fireplace by changing the fire and this can be done at very little expense as all the cut outs in modern panels and hearths have remained the same for ages so you should not need to worry about the fire fitting in.
Particular interest has been shown in the new H/E Glass fronted fires from gallery as they are at the top of the tree for output and efficiency and are some of the best on the market. The item we sell most of is the Gallery hotbox fire which is for more decorative use and comes with a choice of trim and fret so you can personalize this fire to the décor of your room. Have a browse through this section and if you see something you like or need any further info just contact us and we can advise you on what you need etc
Arched Insert Fireplaces Category
Wednesday, June 17th, 2009One of our most visited sections on our website is the Arched Inserts category. This is where we sell all the arched inserts on there own without surrounds hearths etc so you can buy just the insert to fit in your existing surround. All the arched inserts are available in a choice of finishes from Black to Highlighted and Half Polished to Full Polished each item states what finish that particular fireplace comes in. Most of them are a standard 37†to 39†and will fit any normal sized surround opening. We do offer the crown half polish in 40†wide for the largest of surround openings.
All the arched inserts can be used for the following options
Solid Fuel – Just add the solid fuel kit as an extra this consists of Grate, Damper flap and ash pan
Gas – Just select it on extras section to add this gas fire to your order available for Class 1 and Class 2 Chimneys
Electric – Again available as an option so you can use the arched insert with an electric fireplace ideal for use where you have no working chimney or just prefer this option.
The arched Fireplaces we offer are all different in styles from the Plain Crown and Jubilee insert to the more Decorative Henley and Radley.
Some are better for solid fuel use such as the Tradition and the Henley / Jubilee (with the Extra Deep Back Option) as these have the largest area for burning solid fuel but most importantly just chose one that fits and one that you like if you need any help choosing a new fireplace just contact us.
Fireplace Showroom When will it Open
Thursday, June 11th, 2009Just a quick update for our regular readers regarding our new Fireplace Showroom, Work is well underway and the framework is nearly complete after 2 weeks of wood cutting and what seems like a forest of timber that has made this structure things are really starting to take shape. We have planned the fireplace sets that are going to be installed now we know what space we have and what’s going where. Its now just the job of building the inside like a chimney breast cavity to take the cast iron backs so everything fits to the walls like it would in your house.
All the fireplaces we are to feature will be set up with hearths and backs etc so they will look exactly the same as an installed Fireplace Product which is important so our customers can see them as a fitted item. We also intend to have a Live Fire display of both Gas, Electric and Hopefully Solid Fuel we are just awaiting Council Smoke Zone Clearance. The main feature will hopefully be a live solid fuel fire but that’s in the Councils hands not mine Fingers crossed.
I am really looking forward to this being finished as we do have a lot of people willing to travel from near and afar to see the items we offer and with our huge stockholding of 1700 sq ft packed full of our fireplaces, surrounds, hearths, gas inserts etc all ready to take away so you don’t have to wait for most of the items to be ordered and then delivered (some sites quote 2-5 Weeks as standard) and everything we will have in our showroom we will have in stock ready to load either into your vehicle if you wish to take it away
For those who want delivery that’s no problem either we aim to deliver all our goods with 10 days as the majority is in stock and we can then arrange it using our own fantastic delivery service.
So if you wish to visit us whilst our work is ongoing please contact us we do still have a lot of stock for you to see and take way even if its not set up in ideal conditions at the moment so please bear with us it will be worth it in the end.
Modern Fireplaces Developer buys up Stock
Friday, June 5th, 2009May has seen the return of property developers whom we have dealt with in the past starting to buy bigger amounts of fireplaces again this month so this has lead to an easy outright winner in the Modern Fireplace Department.
This months winner is the Granite Panel and Longford Jura Stone Package. We supplied 6 sets to this one developer for some new houses he was just finishing. These fireplace sets were required without electric fires as he buys them from one of his mates in the trade but “he cant get anywhere near our price†for the Surround and panel sets. This proves we are even cheaper than some trade suppliers.
He took all our stock of granite panels and made a big dent in the Longfords we keep in stock too (must make note to order more).
This particular fireplace set is a really good seller its perfect for a new home as it can fit on a flat wall so there is no need for a chimney breast and the electric fires we supply are remote controlled so there is no need even to get up out of your comfy chair if you wish to turn it on. They come with a choice of fret and trim so they can be personalised to suit any décor. They only come in a 54†size but as they are flat wall mounted it will fit any room and make a perfect fireplace feature have a look at the photo below and order one of these great selling sets. We also supply them for gas use too but you will need a proper chimney to take the gas fumes away.
