Jubilee and Longford

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

What with so much going on here at Castfireplaces with server changes and website updates it seems ages since i changed the featured Fireplace it should be done very month so sorry for leaving it so long
Anyway this months feature is the Jubilee Arched insert with the Longford Jura-Stone mantel.
Exactly what is jura stone i hear some of you ask Gallery say
“Another natural product, marble is used in the construction of these suites. JURA-STONE is made from aesthetically unappealing sheets of solid marble and then coated with one of two great finishes. These finsishes are the smooth Cotswold and the slightly textured Chiltern. Both finishes give a consistent appearance of Stone”
So that there words not mine i always say its a coated marble with simple consistent pattern with the added effect of it being cold to the touch just like natural stone.
It is alot cheaper than natural limestone and when used with an arched fireplace like the jubilee makes a fireplace package that is great to look at and also easy on the pocket.
So if your not one hundered percent convinced ask me for a stone sample and i will post you one out so you can see for yourself the texture of the stone.
We do sell a good amount of Jura stone and with it being stain resistant it is ideal for Fireplace sets when you have kids and Pets.
As per normal we do have this package for sale in all fuel options and we also sell it with different arched inserts
It will be also on show in our new larger showroom when we move next door and we do have it in stock ready to see and take away So have a look at the photo below and buy yourself a Bargain Jura-stone Fireplace

Can we use Electric Fireplace on Flat Wall

Monday, May 31st, 2010

A simple questions was asked today on Bank Holiday monday and yes we are open as to whether a customer can use the Jubilee arched insert with the Brompton Limestone mantel on a flat wall and have the Electric insert thats goes with it.
I was sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the jubilee fireplace requires the wall to have a chamber recess of 6.5″.
This is to accomodate the cast iron back that comes with this fireplace, there is no way round it really, i did suggest building false chimney breast to house the back and she has gone to see her builder to see what can be done.
I know a lot of our customers do like the more tradtional fireplace design but theres not much choice of fuel options for a flat wall as i have said already the cast back does ne to be recessed into the fireplace chamber.
In our Modern Fireplaces section we do have quite a few fireplaces that can be used on flat wall situations and then have an electric fire to suit.
I appreciate the fact it does detract from a more Victorian fireplace look but for people not wishing to construct false chimney breasts it can certainly offer a focal fireplace for your room without the need for building work.
I Know JIG once did a combianation fireplace with electric insert built in to it but to be honest it looked terrible.
So for once we have not been able to offer much of a solution except for the false chimney breast idea so she has gone off to ponder her options, i have this sneaky feeling she will be back as she seems to have set her heart on the Jubilee Brompton Limestone Package

Jubilee and Oak Stourhead

Friday, April 9th, 2010

It is the turn of the Jubilee and Oak Stourhead to be the featured item on our front page so heres a little bit about this item.
The jubilee arched insert made by gallery fireplaces is now our best selling arched insert taking over the title from the Lytton.
It is simple to see why as its a fantastic design with simple polished detials which gives it a modern feel but still retains its traditional victorian fireplace style.
To compliment it take a look at one of the best if not the best Oak mantel on the market its called the Stourhead.
It is manufactured by Cast Fireplaces and is available in surround widths as standard of 48″ and 54″, we can also offer a made to measure service on this particular surround so if in doubt get in touch.
This fireplace package is available as normal in Solid fuel (real fire),electric and gas use for natural and LPG gas too.
The surround is made from 100% solid american oak and is finished with Liberon finishing oil which gives it its fantastic patina we never wax oak.
so if you wish to be the new owner of one of our best selling oak packages just click on the photo below to take you straight to that item.

Deeper Back For Solid Fuel Fireplaces

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Hello again todays little article is about a product we are getting asked for more and more but it only fits a few of our Fireplaces.
Brand new in the 2010 purple brochure photographed with the Pembroke Black Fireplace is an item called Deeper Back For Solid fuel use.
Basically this is an extra back supplied by us to replace the standard back that comes with the fireplaces it fits. It has been designed to increase the area for burning solid fuel fot the following three Fireplaces

Pembroke
Henley
Jubilee

These three very popular fireplaces have the option of the deeper back which to be fair does increase the size quite a bit and are ideal for customers wanting to use solid fuel fire regurlarly.
The original cast back is removed and this deeper one bolted on replacing it, as it is not tapered as much it forms a squarer opening and also it gains 65mm depth wise too so you have more room to throw on some more coal or a log or two.
It adds £105 to the price of a fireplace package as we have to replace the solid fuel kit with one with a bigger grate and ashpan too.
The damper flap is the same size with the same design on it so if you you wish to use your fireplace for solid fuel regurlarly consider having one of theose three fireplaces and then we can offer you the Deeper back to go with it.
Will add photo next week of the items when i remember to take my camera to the Factory

General Fireplace News and Updates

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Well i managed to sort out Mr C’s order for his Black 54″ Palmerston which is now ordered and on its way to us from our fantastic suppliers after yesterdays article about a 12 week wait from another online company.
I have been to said suppliers today to collect a few items that were needed for another rush job for a customer in Solihull im delivering to in the morning after he came to our showroom yesterday he ordered a Jubilee and Brompton and a Hamilton and Brompton package
The Hamilton we didnt have in stock but i collected it today and is being delivered in the morning at 8am so they can start fitting.
We do try our best to work with our customers and if we can get it there in what sometimes is very short notice we will thats one of the reasons why we keep so much in stock we really are a fireplace Cash and Carry.
It now brings me on to website update news which has somewhat stalled the last couple of days as we just seem to have been so busy, i have approved the new dimension layout which we are going to test tomorrow on a few items and see what our customers think before rolling out to all our items and im pleased to say it will have its own tab like we first mentioned and how it was on our old website.
Im really pleased about that and for a while i dint think it would be ok but ive tried a formaty out on the Black Pembroke Fireplace Package and it works perfectly on there so all is good.
So expect this and other new items to be finished by the end of next week when im pretty sure we should have everything done.

Local Developer Orders Six Jubilee and Brompton Limestone Fireplaces

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Hello good evening to you all im sat again at my desk at 8.30 pm writing a few thoughts about whats going on in our little fireplace bubble.
Today has again been very busy with the first call this morning bang on 9am from Mr Barker asking if he can collect a basket today he had ordered instead of Sunday this turned out to be de ja vu an hour later as Mr Hein said exactly the same it must have been the sunny morning people wanting to get jobs done.
I must admit i was the same i set out to tidy up my front tool shed and in between answering calls and meeting people at the factory i finished it at 4pm after a run to the tip i wouldn’t mind its only an old toilet and is not that big.
Anyway that sorted i sat down with a nice cup of tea and the phone rang again so off back to the office i went, it turned out to be a local developer from Crich who is completing some new builds in Ashover and had seen my van on his way to Denby Pottery and took down website address.
He had visited our Website and chosen the Jubilee and Brompton Limestone Packages for the houses he is finishing and ordered six full gas packages after a little negotiation.
These Packages are to be delivered over the next three weeks two at a time so his fitters can fit them as they are delivered.
As we keep them in stock he was very pleased we could send the first batch out Tuesday next week so they could make a start.
Asking where he found us from he told me about going to Denby Pottery and seeing our sign written van so it just goes to proove it does work having a well sign written van people can see who we are and exactly what we do.
So another nice order placed all thanks to our Van living next to a main road and the way i park it on our drive it really does stand out you really cant miss it

Slight Delay in Email answering Fireplace Questions

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Hi there sorry for the delay in answering Fireplace emails today (Saturday) i was out shooting till 5 pm ( Last Day of our Season not too good a day) and had renewed our Norton Anti Virus at Work on all our laptops and main pcs which meant it had upgraded in the morning and i forgot to import address book and lower our spam filter settings which meant most of our emails went to Spam Filter
When i spoke to Rhian at Lunchtime she said the phone had not stopped ringing but there had been only 1 email which is very odd for a weekend.
Anyway when i got home i quickly realised what i had done and emptied Spam folder and there they all were so i quickly answered all those with little apology and explanation as to why we were so late answering as we really do try to answer the all within two hours if not straight away.
Rhian had collected a nice little pile of Fireplace and Stove Orders and i was then driven to the Factory to meet some customers from Ramsay St Marys at 6pm at our Showroom
Mr and Mrs Hewlett again did not make it past our show piece surround the Oak Stourhead as they liked it straight away and both said thats the surround now we just need to choose the insert and after finding out they wanted a sollid fuel fireplace with a large burning area they opted for the Jubilee and Oak Stourhead Fireplace Package with extra deep back and solid fuel kit which makes it a good size for burning solid fuel.
This Back is only available with the Pembroke, Jubilee and the Henley so they were more than happy with the chosen fire and left saying they were glad they made the effort to come and see us and after seeing it in the flesh realised they had printed off the same option from our website with realising it just goes to show our pictures must give a good impression of the fireplace  so have a look at the photo and see what you think

Jubilee and Oak Langley makes Customer Fireplace Gallery

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Well it is a long time since since we sold Mr Stratford-Way his made to measure Langley solid oak surround which we manufactured for him so it would fit the Jubilee Arched insert.
We normally sell this particular oak mantel as the Coronet and Oak Langley as the surround is a 52″ wide and has no shelf so sites directly onto the hearth leaving a 1″ gap either side.
No our customer decided he wanted the Jubilee instead so we slighlty altered the dimensions of this mantel to suit the openings required to be used with the Jubilee and im sure as you will agree in the photos you can not tell as it looks very pleasing to the eye.
Now this fireplace was supplied with pushunder for solid fuel granite hearth but it appears not to have been fitted correctly and cut down a small measure im sure but i do like things to look the way they should needless to say our customer is very pleased and he emailed me this comment

Hi

I purchased the following Fire and surround from you in September and thought that you might like to see the finished item…………

We are running low on Lytton and Jubilee Fireplaces and Firefox 5 Stoves

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Well what a mad month we are having and the gallery group the people whose range of Fireplaces and Stoves we stock are very busy too.
As always at this time of year we always seem to run short of certain items due to stock shortage us here at Castfireplaces are in a better position than most fireplace shops as we do hold large amounts of stock at our factory.
However this has not proved enough and again we have run out of Firefox 5 Stoves, we also only have 2 Lytton Highlighted fireplaces and 3 Jubilee fireplaces left till after Christmas infact the new year.
Gallery themselves also have none of these items till January so thats it really 1st come 1st served gets the last of thses items.
Im not 100% sure why they have run out im told it is down to order levels and they did not expect to move some many in the Credit crunch crisis.
Well that seems not have hit our trade too hard and as we have seen a large shift again to solid fuel stoves and fireplaces this seems to have carried on right through “Heating Season”
Last week we had hearth deliverys to replace all our sold stock and these arrived just in time as we were down to the last few in stock.
Still only two weeks to go till Party day with the Fireplace Lads looking forward to it again a full day boozing in my home town of Nottingham.
Anyway if we do run out completely of any fireplaces or stoves i will let you know and offer an alternative to the option you have chosen so fingers crossed it wont be too bad but at the rate there going we will be out of lyttons and Jubilees by the end of this week but what can i do about it they are on the way from China.

Jubilee and Brompton Limestone makes Customer Fireplace Gallery

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

I have been sitting on these photos for what seems an age now as we were having problems uploading them to our article section this has now been resolved and I am pleased to say we will see a return to the Customer Fireplace Gallery.
The First feature fireplace i think is probably one of the best photos we have ever been sent of one of our Fireplaces it is the best selling limestone package The Jubilee and Brompton
The Limestone surround is a 54” version with the gas insert all sat on a granite hearth.
See below what our customer says about us.

Hi Mark,

Many thanks for an outstanding service! It was a genuine pleasure to do business with you. Great prices, great service, and great products. What more could one wish for?!

You promised me an 8am delivery. Your driver ‘phoned me at about one minute to eight, to apologize because he was stuck in traffic and would not be with me until approximately ten past eight!!!

Now that is service! How many times have we all ordered items on the Internet, only to wait around all day on the day of delivery.

Your driver was brilliant. Polite and cheerful, he carried everything in to the exact spot where I wanted it – no problem.

I would like to wish you every success for the future. Such dedication and commitment warrants it!

Needless to say, I will be recommending you to all my friends and acquaintances.

This fireplace that is shown in the picture below just looks absolutely fantastic in this room setting with the pale walls and the cream beige carpet I think it really makes a focal point of that chimney breast so if you are inspired by Mr Bennett’s photo of there fitted fireplace just click on the photo to take you straight through to that item
