Daisy Fireplace Cast iron Combination is Featured Item

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Well back to work properly today and have been to the factory and met a few customers for collection and been in office all day planning routes for delivery and generally sorting things out and i can now say we are back up to Full Speed.
Over Christmas and New Year we did write a few articles but not much in the day to day things we write about as we were closed so there was not much to tell you.
Anyway in all the festive fun i forgot to do the Featured items which we normally do at the start of the month
This months featured cast iron fireplace is The Daisy Combination Fireplace this small bedroom fireplace had been discontinued by Gallery from the fireplace brochure but is still available to us directly on container so we will carry on selling this Bedroom size cast in both the Black and Highlighted Finish.
I has a shelf width of 30″ and is perfect for any small bedroom chimney breast i personally think gallery have dropped a clanger removing this from the range but im sure it will benefit us as many fireplace shops will not be able to supply it.
Also it will be held in price and will not be affected by any current price increase. We also offer it as one of our packages for gas, solid fuel,LPG and electric use so if you do want a working bedroom fireplace thats is great value look no further than the Daisy Fireplace

Jubilee and Oak Langley makes Customer Fireplace Gallery

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Well it is a long time since since we sold Mr Stratford-Way his made to measure Langley solid oak surround which we manufactured for him so it would fit the Jubilee Arched insert.
We normally sell this particular oak mantel as the Coronet and Oak Langley as the surround is a 52″ wide and has no shelf so sites directly onto the hearth leaving a 1″ gap either side.
No our customer decided he wanted the Jubilee instead so we slighlty altered the dimensions of this mantel to suit the openings required to be used with the Jubilee and im sure as you will agree in the photos you can not tell as it looks very pleasing to the eye.
Now this fireplace was supplied with pushunder for solid fuel granite hearth but it appears not to have been fitted correctly and cut down a small measure im sure but i do like things to look the way they should needless to say our customer is very pleased and he emailed me this comment

Coronet and Oak Lincoln Fireplace Package

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

The Coronet is basically a smaller version of the Crown arched insert and it is available in Black and Half Polish only a few years ago we used to offer Full polished but that has been discontinued.
The Coronet has a smaller back which requires an opening of
Width 18″
Height 30.5″ (inc hearth height)
Depth 6.3″
This smaller measurement is ideal for chimney breasts that do have a narrow opening so when space is at a premium it is great to move to a smaller cast.
We do sell this fireplace for solid fuel use but as the opening is smaller it does not have the largest area for burning solid fuel but can still fit on 1 decent size log.
When using for gas or electric use we use the standard cast iron back that comes with this fireplace and fit a ng9 insert to it for gas use and pj9 for electric use.
We only supply the Oak Lincoln mantel in a 48″ shelf width to go with Coronet as the opening is smaller on the 48″ surround and is ideally suited to the size of the Coronet.
The oak lincoln is made from 100% solid american oak and finished in the finest Liberon Finishing oil to give it the lovely colour we achieve we do not wax oak as this is not how it should be seen
It really makes a difference to the finish of the surround to see the natural beauty of the timber as nature intended.
So if you want to buy the Coronet and Oak Lincoln which is this months featured fireplace just click on photo below.

Regal And Brompton Limestone Fireplace Package

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

This months featured limestone fireplace is the Regal and Brompton Limestone Package this particular arched insert is one of the smaller inserts we do which is suitable for using in a limestone or timber mantel of smaller sizes to suit the chimney breasts where either they are smaller than average or in aroom where space is tight.
The Regal arch is actually one of our most decorative arched inserts and is only available in the Highlighted finish as shown so it really brings the decorative features in the band to life,it alsohas a smaller cast iron back so the chmaber size in your chimney breast does not ahve to be so large.
It can be used for Solid fuel gas and electric use and is available as a fireplace package in all options.
The Brompton surround we sell with this package is available in a 51″ shelf width only as this is the Surround which is most suitable for this particular arched insert. All made form 100% solid agean limestone i amsure you will agree that this makes a fantastic looking victorian styled fireplace that is suitable for chimney breasts of around 52″ and above.
If this is still to large have a look at the Henlow or Ripley Limestone mantel which is available with a shelf width of 48″ which is ideal for even the smallest chimney breast wanting a limestone feature fireplace.

Local Fireplaces and Stoves Delivery at Night

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Tonight i have been out on local delivery runs to Smalley, Riddings and a house just round the corner from me at Ripley. The first drop was at 5.30 pm to Riddings with a Lytton Black fireplace and pine corbel unwaxed surround which the lady came to visit us at our showrrom last week and could not believe it was only £325 for a highlighted fireplace solid fuel kit and surround, we have sold this package for years now and is one we first made as a budget surround at Derwentside and have made it ever since.
After dropping that off i was then off to Marehay to deliver Firefox 12 stove not half a mile from my house and near our local pub.
This man had found us using google searching for Firefox stoves for which we are listed on the 1st page he was very suprised to find out not only were we the cheapest online but also half a mile from him (and i delivered it free of charge as all of the fireplaces i have delivered tonight) so he ordered over the phone and i droped it off today.
Last visit of the early evening was to Smalley and was a Tiger stove and a Pembroke Full Polish Fireplace, this particular customer was one of those who had visited our showroom on Saturday and viewed items before placing his order.
We do try to offer a better service than any of the other shops and often do Early morning or evening deliverys as we do understand that not all people can escape from work to take delivery of these type of items.
So if your looking for a fireplace or stove and want to take advantage of our early or late delivery service just contact us

Fireplace Shop Myths What they tell you is not true

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Now Today I have had a call from a Woman in Surrey who rang us after visiting our website over the weekend and then going to a fireplace shop local to her on Sunday here’s a few things the shop told her after asking why there prices were more than double ours.
Now these salesman must be so desperate for a sale they have lied and deceived the customer beyond belief, now it makes me mad people saying Online Retailers have no customer service or back up we pride ourselves on customer service and you only have to read my article the other day about fireplace showroom who do not return calls.
I do understand they have a bone to pick with us saying we can sell them cheaper than them as they have larger overheads well that is not true we have 1700 sq Foot factory to pay for, 2 Modern vans and we spend £1000s of pounds every month on seo and google ads let alone the rates, heating and lighting for our factory and office.
Now wait for it here’s the best bit the products you buy from them are made from inferior cast iron and HETAS registered fitters and GAS SAFE fitters will refuse to install it due to this.
What utter Bo****** I have never heard such rubbish in my life.
The Gallery Fireplaces we sell are the same ones sat in there showroom just like they sit in our showroom we do not sell seconds, rejects or any other made up excuse they come out with.
Now I know which shop you are and I have even been passed it when out delivering and if you think it is ok lying and deceiving customers to clinch a sale then you go ahead I can honestly say the day we lie to our customers regarding any of our products is the day I will pack it all in.
Yes there are dodgy firms out there who have terrible customer service and sell rubbish but then there are High Street Shops that do the same ask yourself this when ordering online

1 Can I contact them by phone and do they have Address and Company details shown
2 Are they VAT registered and will I get an invoice
3 Do they have a showroom I can visit?
4 Am I going to get Honest Correct Free Advice without Sales Pressure?
5 Can I contact any of their Customers or read genuine testimonials

If you can not assure yourself of getting all 5 of these things move on to another website or shop its just not worth the risk

So if you do want a fireplace or stove that can be used for gas or solid fuel use shop with us here at Castfireplaces we have over 5500 genuine customers who have bought from us in the Last 6 years that’s why we are in my opinion the best fireplace retailer online.

And Just for the record we do now have a sale for a Pembroke Black Fireplace with Granite Hearth for Solid fuel use going to Surrey on Sunday 29th so not only have you lost your sale you have deceived someone who will tell all her friends and Family what a con merchant you are

Do i have to have specialist Fireplace Fitter for Electric Use

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

When i returned from London today after delivering all our fireplaces and stoves the 1st call i took when back in the office asked me if they had to have specialist fitter to fit a limestone fireplace for electric use.
Now there are no rules governing the fitting of an electric insert as they all come prewired and have a 13 amp plug on them to plug straight into a socket so with that it mind the answer is No
You can fit this fireplace yourself as you are not likely to be gassed by any toxic fumes form solid fuel or gas use as the electric fire does not need a flue and these are the reasons we never recommend DIY jobs for solid fuel or gas.
So in reality it is ok to fit this type of fireplace fo electirc use but to ensure a good job you must be competent at diy or we would still recommend having it installed by a proper fireplace fitter and be prepared to haggle on the fitting price as they do not have to commision and conduct spillage tests on this item or test the rest of your system and also there is no certificate to produce so it should be cheaper than insattling for gas or solid fuel if fitting electric yourself gives us a ring we can help you out

Mr Wing Adds his Edwardian Fireplace and Kingston Marble to our Gallery

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Having supplied two fireplace orders to Mr Wing from Peterborough who i met on the last delivery early in the morning to deliver a Henley and Kingston Marble Package to i was very impressed by the Edwardain fireplace he had installed in one of his rooms.
Living in a lovely victorian house as he does both these fireplaces we have supplied him look fantastic now they are fitted.
Here below are the comments he left for our website

Dear all at Cast Fireplaces,

I would like to tell you how happy I am with the fireplaces you supplied. Excellent and friendly service both with order, delivery and advice. Both fireplaces top quality products at a very reasonable price.
I would not hesitate in recommending your company. 10/10

Andrew Wing
Peterborough

As you can see he is very happy with his fireplaces and i commented on seeing the Edwardian as i delivered the Henley that it looked really good he told me he had fitted it himself which we normally do not advise.
A few days after delivering i recieved photos of  the Edwardian and also a picture of The Henley and Kingston have a look at the following pictures and see what effect can be achieved by having a fireplace installed.
Both Fireplaces we have supplied are for solid fuel use (Real Fire) and he has taken a photo of the both burning away very nicely so hope this gives you some idea of another fireplace and how it will look fitted in your home

Derby Black Fireplace Novembers Featured Cast iron

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

So it perils me being a forest supporter to have a fireplace named after a team i dislike but it was not me who named it and within our group inc our suppliers it is known as the Dirty for these reasons only.
Joking apart it happens to be a great cast iron combination fireplace and has a fireplace award from back in the day to its name.
It was dicontinued from the gallery range a few years ago but it is still made and we do keep it in stock because it is a very nice fireplace and also because it sells quite well.
So really it is exclusive to us no other website i know of sells it and we will continue to sell this fireplace.
On the new website categories it will be featuring as a package for both gas and solid fuel so it will give our customers a chance to buy this cast iron with a greater choice of options again all at our fantastic prices.
Anway about the Derby it is available in Black Grate polished finish only which really brings out the decorative features in the casting it does have a good sized back on suitable for solid fuel use and takes quite a large gas insert too.
Have alook at the photograph to view this fireplace in all its splendour and i am sure you will agree it does look good even if it does have a dodgy name

Radley and Bartello Package Novembers Featured Limestone Fireplace

Friday, November 6th, 2009

So the new format for our monthly-featured fireplaces starts today and 1st off we will start with our Limestone section.
This months featured limestone fireplace is the Radley and Bartello Limestone Package
The Radley arched fireplace is available in Black or Highlighted finish and is shown Highlighted in the photo below.
It is one of our more decorative arched fireplaces but I think is still very elegant looking, it has the same cast iron back as the lytton and jubilee so does not offer the largest area for burning solid fuel on but you can still throw on a medium sized log.
We mainly sell the Highlighted version but we do stock the black variety which is better suited to solid fuel.
The bartello Limestone Mantel was new for the 08-09 Gallery brochures and has sold very well. Made from 100% solid agean Limestone it is a slightly off white stone that is sculptured with a fancy ornate shelf and legs.
The Bartello is one fine looking mantel and would grace any chimney breast in A Victorian or modern styled home so have a look at the photograph shown below and click this to go straight to the item for any further information.
Tomorrow we will feature a cast iron fireplace from the fantastic Gallery range we supply.
Right off to celebrate my son Jaidens 5th Birthday mmm its a kids tea party.
