Stoves are due back into stock next week

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

Just a quick update as to the amount of Stoves we have in stock we are still very low on certain models and in particular the Tiger Plus Stove and The Firefox 8 Stove which im told are arriving towards the end of this month.
We are expecting the Firefox 5 Stove into stock next week as its been out of stock since well before Christmas.
We have taken delivery two days ago of some Firefox 8 stoves but they have now all gone and we are expecting a few more next week too.
Some good news though we have plenty of Tiger stoves both in Classic and the new DEFRA Clean Burn version we also have in stock the Firefox 5cb clean burn stove and the Carron Matt Black 7.2Kw Stove.
We expect the shortages to last a couple more weeks as the containers start arriving and deliveries will arrive asap, its just frustrating for us taking pre orders for customers and then having to sort out in date ordered too for who to deliver to first.
So get a move on China Shipping Company we have customers waiting all over the UK for these stoves to arrive so we can get them delivered so our customers can get them installed before the cold weather returns.

Defra Approved Stove Section added to our Website

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

As with all things slight alterations are made to our website to make it easier for our customers to use and we have therefore decided to have a new section on our website for the range of stoves that have been approved by DEFRA for burning wood in smokless free zones.
This section is entitled Defra Approved and is where the Large Carron stove has now been moved too.
This section will be growing shortly to add the stoves which we are taking into stock mainly the Firefox 5 Cleanburn Stove, Tiger Cleanburn Stove and the Kooga Cleanburn Stove.
Also from the Carron range is a smaller Carron stove this will be added shortly too.
The advantages of a DEFRA approved stove are the fact that customers who live in smokless zones can now buy Stoves from us at fantastic prices that can used legally burning wood in there homes.
This has been quite restrictive prior to these new stoves arriving and have previously been very expensive, so keep an eye out on this soon to be growing section as we will be adding them as soon as we take them into stock which im told is not too long.
Most stoves will be added tomorrow so customers can preview them prior to them arriving and get a first glimpse at the photos and features of what we expect to become very popular items.
I have seen a preview of the new Pnik Gallery Brochure and they are featured in there so gallery themselves seem intent on pushing them too.

Firefox 5, Tiger and Kooga Clean Burn Stoves new to Castfireplaces

Friday, August 27th, 2010

So with the addition of one DEFRA approved stove to our website last week we do have some good news about three other multifuel stoves that we will be adding to our ranks.
Two of them are slight variations on our original stoves and one is completely new.
Ladies and Gentlemen i would like to introduce you to the following

Firefox 5 Clean Burn Stove
Tiger Clean Burn Stove
Kooga Clean Burn Stove

The firefox 5 stoves are due into stock to us within two weeks the Tigers and Koogas will be slightly longer, all these have undergone testing by DEFRA so they can be used for burning wood in Smokless Zones so we really do now offer agood choice for those wishing to have solid fuel appliance in areas where you have to have DEFRA approved stove.
As you can see from the photos shown below not mush has changed with the Firefox and Tiger Stove but the Kooga is something a little different.
The stoves are slightly less effiecient than the standard modles i presume this is done to make them emit less fumes im not sure how as we do not yet have technical detailed info on them.
These stoves will be added to our website early next week so untill then check out the photos and see what you think

Will you Price match a Second Hand Tiger Stove

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

Now call me odd if you want but is this not one of the most daft questions anybody has ever asked im not really sure what they are thinking.
We only sell brand new items here at Cast Fireplaces no seconds no returns just genuine 1st grade gallery products.
Anyway Mr Tiger stove man has been trawling thorugh ebay looking for a bargain stove and has come accross a listing where someone is selling a 12 month old Tiger stove and wants £250 for it now this really is a fair deal there is not a lot to go wrong with them and for someone wanting to take a chance on it its a good deal.
Now Mr Tiger then decides to Google search tiger stove doing a little research i presume in to how much they cost new and comes accross our website with the Tiger stove there for sale at £310 and then as he says ” i saw your stove for sale and at the top of the page it says seen it cheaper let us know”
Now technically he is right but what sort of person thinks to themselves these are brand new at £310 i bet they will price match a 12 month old second hand stove sold on ebay with no warranty offered.
MMMMMmmm now let me think for a short while errrmmmmm NO way would we possibly price match a new stove sold by us brand new in the crate for a second hand Tiger.
I wouldnt have minded if he had somehow come across a brand new Tiger stove sold by a company who offers warranty and is a genuine business id see what we could have done.
Needless to say i declined his kind offer of £250 for one of our shiny new stoves and im sure he didnt fully understand why we could not price match it anyway you live and learn im off for a lie down now im not sure i can take anymore today now

Do you sell Genuine Gallery Fireplace Products

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

A strange question i know but today we were asked whether the fireplaces we supply were genuine Gallery Fireplaces products, after confirming to the person on the phone that we are Gallery Stockists and that all the fireplaces we supply are the genuine article they explained a little further.
They were enquiring as to whether a Tiger Multi Fuel Stove they had seen on our website was infact the correct article.
It turns our they had visited a fireplace shop in London and they had told them they had read an article in the Fireplace trade magazine that internet companies have been selling the Tiger stove copy which is not approved for solid fuel use and thats why they are so cheap.
The actual article was about another brand of stoves not Gallery Stoves and basically they had only copied the design of the door and never made any suggestion internet firms were to blame.
It is all still wrong as huge amounts of money are spent on development and for some dodgy company just to copy an item is wrong, anyway there was a huge pile of these doors and stoves that had been broken up for scrap and the problem had been solved.
According to Mr London Fireplace salesman this is why internet based companies are selling Tiger stoves so cheap.
Well let me tell you he is wrong we only ever sell 1st grade genuine products and the reason we are cheaper than the rest is because we buy in larger quantities and do not work on huge margins thats the only reason why our prices are cheaper.
So infact the same Tiger Stove you see sat in their or even our showroom is the same tiger stove that will arrive delivered to your home no ifs no buts just genuine items at the best prices simple.

Same Customers come two weeks on the trot to buy Stoves

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

Today we have had the same four customers come to our Factory and Showroom in Langley mill to collect some of our fireplace products.
Last week they arrived at 12.30 to collect a Tiger Plus stove and flue pipe and today it was like deja vu exactly the same time and exactly the same products, they had only come from Sheffield and this wekk they had come in another 4×4 where the door opened wider than the one last week.
We had a quick laugh about making it a regular trip and after finding out they were Sheff Utd fans had a smile about them scoring late against Derby and Forest beating Sheff Wednesday.
They said they had researched many companies on the internet and found ours to be the cheapest and also one of the closest for them and as they could collect saving them £40 it was fantastic value for them to come and collect.
As they came with friends last week they too have decided to have the same stove and colected it today so thanks again to Mr Adams (no relation) and also to Mrs Taylor thanks again for your business we do appreciate it

How can i control my Gallery Fireplaces Tiger Stove

Monday, January 18th, 2010

How do you control the Stove It just seems to be roaring away and even when i reduce air into the stove it still roars is there anything you can suggest.
This is an unusual question as based on our experaince Tiger Stoves can be controlled very well.
I made enquires as to who had fitted his stove how old it was and did he have an invoice number from us.
It turned out he had bought it from a shop near Buxton who now do not want to know or help him with a solution to this problem and he fitted it himself.
Well its not really our problem but after finding out chimney had not been lined as he didnt want the extra expense it sounds to me like his fireplace chimney breast has one hell of a drawer on it as the stove is nearly new and the seals around the door are fine.
The only solution we can offer is a damper pipe which is a small pipe 250mm in length which has an adjustable damper inline which can be altered to reduce the draw from the chimney.
The original stove pipe does have to be removed and then this item placed inline but it is a solution to his problem and he has gone away to think about ordering one.
So the moral of the story is when ordering a stove or Fireplace from someone please make sure they have the background knowledge or experiance to sort out any small problems you may have as our friend found out some companies do not want to know after you have bought items from them.

Fuel for Fireplaces How do you split yours

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

Ok im sat in my office at 9pm just writing a little article for our website i have the blinds open as i look out to the garden where it has a nice covering of snow and it is snowing quite heavily.
Now i love the winter weather and love snow and both my kids are really excited about going sledging as i am now laughing to myself as i bought two shiny red sledges today from Franks Warehouse in Ripley just on the off chance.
So after i get back from deliverys (Weather permitting im off sledging)
Anyway back to the point i have had some cherry wood dropped off at our factory in large tree trunk sizes that have been chain saw cut to around 10″ perfect for all our Multi Fuel Stoves
So went i went to the factory today to meet customer collecting Pembroke Fireplace i took my large axe with me. So van loaded and fireplace loaded in to Customers van i thought i will just have a quick try.
Anway all set up and i swung the axe Boing it just bounced straight off just making a small axe head dent.
Right then another bigger swing and it did split it this time i chopped about 3 or 4 trunk size pieces up and my arms were aching back was aching and i hadnt even touched the pile.
I can honestly say i did not realise how much hard work it was. So i thought to myself i know Walvins has large hydraulic spliiter ill google it and see what i can get so when i was back in my office im now the proud new owner of 6 ton Log splitter which im told will be delivered in three days maximum.
Cant wait to try it out im now having a huge amount of timber from Paul and me and him are going to log it up.
He runs a gardening business and has huge amount of wood he now is going to sell logs to our customers who buy solid fuel fireplaces from us and yipee i will get mine for free.
What a deal i cant go wrong i just pass on his details with every stove or fireplace i sell and i get large tree trunks delivered for me to split with my new toy.
Stupid isnt it that im quite looking forward to spending a day between Christmas and New Year making solid fuel for my Stove.

There is nothing like a real fire for warming the home

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Well i love the snow and the cold weather there is something very festive about it being cold outside and it snowing and the thought of sitting in front of a real fireplace burning logs or coal is just so appealing.
How many Christmas cards have you seen with this scene on it what better time can be spent than all gathered around a real working fireplace and just enjoying the warmth and beauty of real wood burning.
Now as i have said before i love real fires and always have our Tiger Plus Multi Fuel Stove roaring away as soon as the weather gets cold and today my wife has had it going all day and when i got back from the factory the whole house was warm and our office was too.
The heat from this stove seems to circulate right round the house and warm all the rooms and now our damp logs seem to be getting drier after i keep splitting them into smaller sizes its back to its usual heating ways.
Speaking of logs one of my best mates dropped at our factory a load of Cherry yesterday for me which i will cut up this weekend i have never burnt cherry before but he says it burns reall well and produces good heat so i will keep you all posted on how it goes i have googled waht wood burns best and may cover this in a post ourselves

Why the rush on Gallery Fireplace Gas Stoves whats going on

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

We have had a very unusual event happening to us over the last few week we have sold 5 Gas stoves in the last ten days now we dont normally sell that many in 2 months but strangely enough we have now sold 5 in just over a week.
We have sold 3 Firefox 5 Gas Stoves, 1 Tiger and 1 Firefox 8 all for coal effect natural gas use, as we do not keep any gas stoves in stock we have had to order them in which arrived from our great suppliers straight away.
Now the vast majority of stoves we sell are for multifuel use it seems strange to me with the price of gas why we have sold so many.
Yes they are very clean and make no mess when using and are 73% efficient so they try there best not to spin your gas meter off the wall to create some heat. Surely the idea of having a stove is to fill it with wood coal etc and sit back and watch and listen to the fire heat your home or am i being nostalgic.
I have said before how much i love fire and watching my Tiger plus stove roar way on a cold winters evening it would seem strange just twisting the gas knob and watch it jump into life.
But hey thats just me im not complaining about sales i must just be getting old and not liking change speaking of fires im now going to fill our wood basket and get the stove lit (still having damp logs problem so coal again for the bed)
