For us, this is one of the most important parts of choosing an electric fire. You can add plenty of features to an electric fire, but if the flame doesn’t look convincing when it’s running, those features don’t make much difference.
Solution uses high-definition iTronic flame technology over detailed handcrafted log fuel beds. One of the things we particularly like is the way the flame works around the logs rather than simply looking like a flat image behind the glass.
The lighting and flame movement give the fuel bed more depth, and it’s one of the first things customers tend to notice when they see the fires running in our showroom.
The fires can be operated using the supplied remote control or the Solution App on compatible devices. Alexa voice control is also available, and selected models include additional effects such as a crackling fire sound
You don’t have to use every feature, but it’s useful having the choice to alter the fire depending on the room and the look you want.
The flame and lighting effects can be used independently of the heater. That means you can enjoy the appearance of the fire throughout the year without adding unwanted warmth to the room.
When you do want additional heat, Solution fires provide between 1kW and 2kW of thermostatically controlled heating, depending on the model. The fan heater is also designed to operate quietly, which is particularly useful when the fire is running for longer periods in a living room.
We’re a family business, and we don’t only recommend Solution to customers. Mel has a Solution electric fire in her own home. For us, that’s a good indication of how we feel about the range. If we didn’t think it was a product worth owning, we wouldn’t have chosen one for her family home.
Depending on the fire and installation, there are also additional options available. Anti-reflective glass can be useful where reflections from windows or room lighting are likely to be a problem.
Scene-lighting LED kits can also be used with suitable installations to extend the lighting beyond the fire itself.
If you’re planning a media wall or another built-in installation, we’d recommend discussing these options before construction starts. It’s much easier to plan them at the beginning than try to add them afterwards.
Solution electric fires are backed by an extended 5-year warranty. For a product that’s likely to become a major feature in the room, we think that extra reassurance is important.
