Woodpecker Stoves

Woodpecker is a stove range supplied by ACR Heat Products. The collection covers compact traditional models, wider stoves and taller freestanding designs with log-store or pedestal bases. Woodpecker stoves also come with ACR’s No-Quibble Guarantee, which covers one replacement of each consumable part during the first year from installation. A 5-year warranty also applies to the stove body and castings when purchased through an approved retailer.

Woodpecker Wood-Burning and Multi-Fuel Stoves

The WP4 is the smallest model in the range. It is a compact cast-iron wood-burning stove with a 4.3kW nominal heat output and traditional freestanding proportions.
The WP4LS uses the same compact stove design but includes an integral log-store base. This raises the firebox and gives the stove a taller appearance.
The WP5 is a 5kW multi-fuel stove designed to burn properly seasoned wood or suitable approved smokeless fuel. Its straightforward proportions allow it to suit a wide range of fireplace settings.
The WP5PLUS has the same nominal heat output but a wider body than the standard WP5, providing a broader view of the fire.
For a more contemporary appearance, the WP5 is available with either a log-store or pedestal base. The WP5Q-LS includes an open storage space beneath the firebox, while the WP5Q-P uses a simple pedestal support.
Construction varies across the collection. The WP4 and WP4LS have cast-iron construction, while the WP5, WP5PLUS, WP5Q-LS and WP5Q-P use steel and cast iron. All current Woodpecker wood-burning and multi-fuel models meet Ecodesign requirements and are DEFRA exempt for use in Smoke Control Areas. Each stove must still be installed and operated according to the manufacturer’s instructions using the permitted fuels.

Other ACR Stoves

As Woodpecker forms part of the wider ACR range, this category also includes the Malvern II multi-fuel stove and the Astwood and Malvern electric stoves. These models are included alongside Woodpecker rather than being placed in a separate category for a small number of ACR products. The Malvern II provides another multi-fuel option, while the Astwood and Malvern electric stoves produce a flame effect and optional heat without requiring wood, smokeless fuel or a conventional flue.
