An electric fireplace suite is a straightforward way to create a complete fireplace without having to choose the fire and surround separately. The fire and fireplace are already designed to work together, taking away some of the uncertainty around finding separate components and making sure they suit each other.

One of the main advantages of an electric fireplace suite is that you don’t need a working chimney or flue. Many of the suites are designed to sit against a suitable flat wall, allowing you to create the appearance of a complete fireplace without having to build a traditional chimney breast.
This makes them particularly useful in newer properties or rooms where there has never been a fireplace before. You still get a defined fireplace and focal point, but with a much simpler electric installation.
Electric fireplace suites don’t all look the same.
Some of our designs use traditional mantels, marble, limestone or cast iron to create the appearance of a conventional fireplace. Others have cleaner lines and more contemporary finishes.
The style is important, but so are the proportions. A fireplace needs to work with the width of the wall and the size of the room rather than simply fitting into the available space.

The electric fire itself can also change the appearance of a suite considerably. Depending on the fireplace, you may have a log-effect or coal-effect fuel bed, as well as different fascias and fireplace styles.
This means an electric fireplace suite doesn’t necessarily have to look modern simply because the fire is electric.

Seeing them running makes it easier to judge the flame effect, scale of the surround and how the fire looks as part of the complete fireplace.
Not everyone who wants an electric fire wants the same type of installation.
A fireplace suite gives you a defined fireplace that can sit against the wall and become a focal point in its own right.
A media wall takes a different approach, bringing the television, electric fire and often storage or lighting together within one built-in feature.
Neither is necessarily better. It comes down to the room and the look you’re trying to create.
