The hearth you need will depend on the type of fire and the size required. Our one-piece polished granite hearths are suitable for gas, electric, bioethanol and decorative use. They are available in widths from 30 to 60 inches, with a choice of 15-inch and 18-inch depths.
One-piece hearths should not be used with solid fuel, as the higher temperatures could cause the granite to crack. For solid-fuel fires, choose a cut and slabbed hearth made in separate sections with expansion joints that allow for heat movement.
Our cut and slabbed hearths are available in widths from 36 to 54 inches and have a depth of 18 inches.
Measure the required width and depth before ordering and compare these with the dimensions shown on the individual product page.
Our granite stove hearths include a front hearth and a matching rear hearth that sits inside the fireplace opening beneath the stove. The front hearth is cut into three sections and rejoined to allow for movement caused by heat. The rear hearth is supplied as two 18 × 18-inch granite panels, creating a total area of 36 × 18 inches. The rear panels can be cut during fitting to suit the fireplace opening and levelled with the front hearth. Front hearth widths are available from 42 to 60 inches.
A made-to-measure service is available when one of our standard sizes is not suitable. Granite hearths can be made in different sizes and shapes for gas or solid-fuel use. Please contact us with your required dimensions and the type of fire you plan to install for a quotation.
