Electric Fires Designed for Media Walls

Media walls have become one of the most popular ways to create a focal point in a modern living room.
The television, electric fire, storage and lighting can all be brought together into one feature, but getting the proportions right is important.
We’ve chosen Solution as our electric-fire range, and the LUX range is particularly well suited to media wall installations, with different sizes available depending on the wall, television and room.

Getting the Size Right

When it comes to a media wall, proportions are everything. The fire needs to work with the television and the width of the wall rather than simply being chosen because it fits the available space. A 1500mm fire can look fantastic in one room and completely wrong in another.
That’s why we’d always recommend considering the fire, television, wall and room as a whole before the media wall is built.

Solution LUX Media Wall Electric Fires

The Solution LUX range gives you a choice of sizes for different media wall designs. This gives you plenty of flexibility whether you’re working with a relatively compact wall or creating a much larger feature across the room.
The fires combine a wide viewing area with the flame and log effect we’ve chosen Solution for.

Choose the Fire Before Building the Media Wall

We’d recommend choosing your electric fire before construction starts.
The dimensions of the fire can affect:

The overall width of the media wall
Television size and position
The distance between the television and fire
Shelving and storage positions
Lighting
The proportions of the finished design

It is much easier to work these things out at the planning stage than to try to alter the media wall afterwards.
If you already know which television you’re using, it also helps to have its dimensions when choosing the fire.

Enjoy the Flame Without the Heat

The electric fire is usually one of the main features of a media wall, so the flame effect needs to look convincing when it’s running.
Solution fires combine the flame effect with a detailed log fuel bed and adjustable lighting, giving you control over the overall appearance.

You can use the flame and lighting without switching on the heater, so the fire can remain part of the room throughout the year.
When you do want additional warmth, Solution fires provide between 1kW and 2kW of thermostatically controlled heat.

See Our Media Wall Electric Fires Running

We’d always recommend seeing a media wall fire running where possible.

At Cast Fireplaces, we have a Solution LUX 150 running in our own media wall, so you can see a larger fire as part of a completed installation rather than looking at the fire on its own.
We also have a LUX 100 displayed with the Sheringham suite, which gives you another example of how a different fire size works within a complete fireplace design. Seeing the two in person makes it much easier to judge the flame effect, log bed and overall proportions.
