Choosing the style isn’t your only decision when it comes to arched inserts – they come in several finishes too. You can leave the cast iron plain black if you want a subtle, understated look; you could have it fully polished to really show it off, or you could choose the highlighted option, which is in the middle and, with the quality being second to none, choose a gallery-arched insert fire for your home.
Pretty much a standard size of 37” square, they are designed to be used with a fireplace surround. However, we have seen them fitted flush onto the plasterwork with a wooden trim around the edge, quite a nice simple finish. The choice is yours.
Offered with our usual setup of fuel options from the drop-down menus, we have arched fires to burn Wood – Coal – Gas – Electric and Bioethanol.
Quite simply put, this is the design feature of the fireplace, similar in shape to a horseshoe. I’ve heard it called this numerous times.
A few critical measurements for an Arch, the main being the overall size of the cast. Another important measurement is the decorative band which is raised. This needs to sit within the measurements of your surround opening.
The cast iron back is bolted to the fireplace and is part of the price. We also have a deeper back option for a few of our fireplaces, offering a large area for burning wood.
