Fuel Options Explained

Damper Flap
A plate that closes the flue to help stop draughts coming down the chimney. It also makes the fireplace look more complete.

Solid Fuel Kit
Needed if you want to burn real fuel such as wood or coal. It includes the parts required for a working fire and also gives the fireplace a more complete look.

Deeper Back Solid Fuel
A deeper fireback for a larger fire area, ideal for logs. It increases the depth by around 50mm and comes with the correct solid fuel kit.

Nuflame Gas Fire
A real flame gas fire with decorative coals. It needs a working flue and is suitable for class 1 and class 2 chimneys. It gives a more realistic flame than standard gas options.

Bioethanol Fire
A living flame option for customers without gas or solid fuel. It uses bioethanol fuel, produces no mess or fumes, and does not need a chimney. A recess is still required, so it will not work on a flat wall.

SLE35i Electric Fire
An electric fire made for cast iron inserts. It creates a realistic glow effect with decorative coal bed, with optional heat from a fan. It needs a recess into the chimney breast and will not work on a flat wall.

Granite (Polished)
Decorative / Gas / Bioethanol / Electric use: One piece, 15" deep.
Solid Fuel use: Cut and slabbed, visible joints, 18" deep.

Tiled
Basalt black as standard; other tiled options available at extra cost.
Decorative / Gas / Bioethanol / Electric use: 15" deep.
Solid Fuel use: 18" deep.

Slate
Honed slate as standard; Riven slate available at extra cost.
Decorative / Gas / Bioethanol / Electric use: One piece, 15" deep.
Not suitable for solid fuel use.
